Enable Always On Mobile Data

My Epic's 3G data connection will go into dormant mode after about 5 mins of non-use. The dormant mode is represented by the small D under the 3g symbol.


I researched this a bit, and my buddy's EVO 4G has an option for "Enable Always On Mobile Data". When that is seleted on his phone, the 3G connection never enters the dormant mode.


I do not see this option anywhere on the Epic 4G. Does anybody know how to set it to never go into dormant mode?

Why do that will just drain your battery

Cause exchange doesn't give him push updates after the 5 minutes... I'll look into it

When the 4G says "zzz" next to it, does that mean it is dormant like the 3Gs "D"? Sorry for the slight off topic, but it seems to fit somewhat here.
