First off i'd like to say that i'm not trying to flame the Epic so please don't flame me back.... with that said though....
I come in these forums everyday and right now i'm looking at the entire first page of the forum and it is nothing but complaints/findings about various problems about the phone. I understand that it's a very nice piece of hardware.. probably the best looking phone out (it and the Vibrant) which is why i understand many of you wanting to keep it + the keyboard. But man in the eyes of someone looking to buy this phone I think i'd have to think twice about it.
I just really hope that all of these problems/bugs you guys are experiencing get ironed out in a timely manner. My only concern is that:
1. I believe Samsung in general to not be the speediest in creating updates.
2. Since this is the only Galaxy S running a different version of TouchWiz, that updates for the Epic will fall behind the updates for the rest of the Galaxy S family.
As i've said before just my 2 cents.. I like it but it definitely has much room to improve. Today is the 30th too huh?
p.s. I was thinking could the phone not sleeping/battery drain be cause by a badly written stock app with a memory leak problem?
