Epic 4G vs T-Mobile G2

test in one day

You can't test battery life on the first day. Give it a week.

Maybe not but on the first day I had my Epic at work I never made one call or browsed and when I got home there was just 37% battery left. Maybe it is unrealistic to think that your phone shouldn't use much juice if it is not used. But the G1 I have has close to the same problem and that is why I'm trying the Samsung Epic.

I'm anxious to see what the G2 will do although I'm not too happy with TMO in Phoenix. Most times I don't even get a cell signal at work and very seldom get a consistent 3G. Sprint is a little better so I'll probably decide in a couple weeks.

Sprint has a 30 day trial and I was already burned by the unknown 14 day trial with T-Mobile. Cost wise they are similar for me except Sprint has the "extra" $10 just for having a 4G phone even though there is no 4G signal here.

The G2 looks really interesting, but tmo's spotty where I live. It seems as though phone battery life is going down on average due to how much power they have now.

Sent from my awesome Samsung Epic 4g

The G2 ISNT a premium phone like the Epic. Its more of a high end feature phone...

I actually like the keyboard on the G2. The rubbery keys on the G2, MytouchSlide, TP2 are nice to type on quickly.... the keyboard on the epic tends to miss keys when typing quickly because they are more flat, but I still love my Epic 5 row much more.

In the end, i'm happy I left T-mobile. I had horrible coverage in majority of places I go. Sure T-Mobile is great when you have service, but I routinely dropped calls. With Sprint I rarely drop calls. :)

Same thing with me. With Tmo, I couldn't even get a decent signal, but with Sprint, all is good. AT&T sucked and Verizon seems to be okay, if not excellent.
