We have both, 2 Evos, 1 Epic. There's no way I'd switch, but there's one person in this family that would disagree with meTo each his or her own.
If you gotta have a keyboard the epic is for you.
thanks for letting us know something that has been posted 68 times already.
I do love having a physical keyboard, however I was at a T-Mo store the other day with a friend and checked out their Galaxy S and I do have to admit it was really nice. Too bad Sprint can't have both options but either way, I'm hoping to get one in my hands come October, when my fiance becomes upgrade eligible. She really want's my Moment, and being the nice fella I am, I will be happy to give it to her and take the Epic off her hands.![]()
I just got an EVO and went today to switch my evo for an epic...
After playing with it i decided to keep my EVO...
1. The screen is a little better but its smaller.
2. The phone is the same size as the evo with a smaller screen???
3. It feels like a toy... really light and plastic... they should have named it the moment HD...
4. I had trouble with the capacitive buttons at the bottom of the screen and had trouble hitting one key at a time...
5. I have short thumbs... and the keys in the middle of the board were hard for me to reach...
In the end... its a good phone... but there is no way this thing is gonna outlast an EVO in the marathon of devices...
Just like Engadget says... the EVO wins out by a small margin... If you gotta have a keyboard the epic is for you.
The Epic is so much better for me than the Evo. I like having the option to have a keybord for typing and games. Also, the screen is better, games are much faster and the phone is just more responsive. This device will last a little longer than the Evo with Apps. Media hub, DLNA and intergration with Samsung TVs is avesome!
I don't know, the Evo to me is dead hardware already like the N1. Why invest in that?
My 2 cents
Yes it was harsh, and for that I apologize. Perhaps now you yourself might reconsider how flip and dismissive your initial answer to me was.Hey, they quoted Samsung, I'm not talking about the post. WE will determine if it works. Engadget and Pocketnow said it worked perfectly. I will see if it works today when I get my phone. Also, why are you so harsh? If you're right, fine, but don't go raging all over the thread.
We will see about that logic when more apps become GPU intensive. I know everyone has their right of opinion, but I would double check your thinking.
GPU's are, will become more important in the near future.
Wanna load up N.O.V.A. and see who has the better device?
