thanks for your help !!!

Thank you so much. New to smartphones and thought I had set up everything Google-ish correctly. Removing the account and adding it back in did the trick.

This did not fix my Google play store error.

Hi,
I experienced this issue on my Samsung Galaxy ace . I just couldn't download or upgrade apps from Google Play store.
I found an alternate android store Mobo Market. This worked perfectly for me, I was able to download new apps as well as upgrade existing ones.
[I figured the upgrade is actually an uninstall and reinstall of the new app version, but works well since there is no loss of user data].

Goto Moroboro - Deamon Downloads. Download the "Mobo daemon" and from within that app you can find the "Mobo Market" app.
Mobo robo by the way is an alternative to Samsung Kies and can be used to manage your device from your computer. You could remove the "Mobo Daemon" after installing "Mobo Market"

Hope this helps.
Rgds,
N

JimtheTim,

You are seriously TheMan! I followed your instructions and BAM! It works. I forgot to turn off/on and it didn't work at first. Then I remembered to turn it off. Beautiful! Thanks.
