eSim only - Hard pass

Verizon is extremely difficult when switching devices. I had an attempt fail, so i tried to activate a physical sim. Verizon flagged my account for fraud and suspended my line. Good thing it was a secondary line and not my main line.
To get it reactivated I had to call VZW fraud. They sent my phone a link to open to upload my drivers license and take a selfie. All this to prove my identity.......
Now anytime i make an account change it gets flagged as fraud and I have to call them.
So annoying! I am moving all my lines over to T-Mobile!
Yikes! That's horrible. I recently switched from Verizon to T-Mobile because of their price increases, but your situation is much worse than mine. I've been with T-Mobile for about 3 weeks now, and I have no complaints. My data speeds are better with T-Mobile than with Verizon, and calls/texts have no issues. I hope T-Mobile works as well for you as it does for me. The main reason I chose T-Mobile is that plan pricing is guaranteed for 5 years.

For those on firstnet and using the pixel 10 pro 10 XL you have to have a phone that is branded with AT&t. I purchased an unlocked Google pixel 10 pro XL and I cannot put it on firstnet with an esim. So a word to the wise, make sure that if you're going to be on firstnet only get a phone.that is an AT&t phone. On a positive note, Google's going to take back the phone they sent me and I will be receiving a brand new Google pixel 10 XL that is certified to work on AT&t.

I bought an AT&T branded 10 Pro XL. It shipped with a temporary phone number. I followed the prompts and was up and running in 5 minutes. I went to the AT&T store to transfer the temporary number to an actual number on my account. Unfortunately, the manager was out on lunch break and I got a trainee that didn't know what he was doing. Finally, the manager returned and had me out in about 10 minutes. Once they activate the Sim, it deactivstes any Sim card. If, like me you're used to changing phones, it will be a problem. Hopefully, AT&T will simplify the process so users can switch eSims. You can of course have 2 eSims activated on the phone. When dialing out you'll choose the line you want to use.

They have great coverage, but I've always had issues with them. I activated a prepaid plan with my iPad with an eSIM. Two weeks later, I had no service. Several phone calls and a visit to the store revealed that my number had been deactivated and reassigned to a business line. This is after paying for a month of unlimited data. I switched to AT&T.

The data service was excellent when it worked.

Called this morning to switch to my esim with tmo at 730am. Still no service.
Yikes!! What's the problem they're having?

This past Saturday I switched to TMo and esim using my S25U. It was quick. The rep said switching to P10P will only require phones being on same wifi and BT connection so it was a good idea to switch to esim before getting the P10P.

I wish I knew what the issue is. Can't verify my account because I don't have a working phone. :/

yeah their coverage if great. But their customer service is horrible.

I was making a plan and device change in a VZW store. The rep said he was going to send a link to my teenage sons phone to verify my identity.....
I just looked at him... I said i can verify my identity...I am right in front of you.....I can provide a driver license with current residence or anything else you need.
He insisted to send a link to my son that was in school at the time.

Finally his manager gave him the ok to proceed without the link...but it took 15 minutes.

I really didn't want to start a new thread on eSIM.

I have a PX 9 pro xl that I purchased from Google, carrier-free. It has a physical SIM from my carrier t-mobile in it.

I have in my possession a new PXL 10 pro xl (carrier-free from Google). I plan on transferring data and such via wi-fi/bluetooth from the 9 to the 10 (I've always done it this way instead of setting from scratch).

In the past I've always set up new pixels on wi-fi/bluetooth only and when I was prompted to install a SIM I declined and just added my SIM later (I liked to get everything set up to my liking on the new device before putting in my physical SIM).

This time around I was thinking about going ahead with the eSIM route during the initial set up of the 10 when prompted.

Will the physical SIM in my pxl 9 be converted to and transferred as eSIM automatically to the new pxl 10?
