Essential Order and Shipping Thread

They posted in Instagram that they are "beginning" shipping today. Keep an eye out for the email it says. I say "lol"

We are beginning shipping today means only that at least one phone will be shipped, to whom or what or how is anybody's guess and it probably is being shipped to their home office and not a customer. This is just a continuation of the delay tactics and bull**** they have been spewing before. It is now Friday evening in NY, typical Friday night response so that nothing happens over the weekend. Lol, so typical of bullsh...ers

Finally got a response, but no new details, only “soon”.

Meanwhile the media is just repeating what they heard from Essential (phone started to ship) without actually verifying facts and that takes care of Essential’s public relations problem.... Everything is fine...

Yeah The Verge acting like none of this other has been going on.

I just received an email from Sprint pushing back the delivery saying it's still out of stock with expected inventory of 9/1. Originally Sprint was saying it would ship by 8/31, now they aren't expecting inventory till 9/1.

Yeah they don't care, they are done with the review got the clicks and have moved on to the next device. They don't buy phones from companies do they don't know what we go thru

Half of their reporting is lazy reporting and don't do their homework properly. Just publish something.

Essential is a Mickey Mouse operation at the moment. Its truly unfortunate how there comments are chuckled at . All of us experiencing first hand how this company spews out lies day after day.

Well, if they are being shipped from the west coast, it’s 4pm there now, I wouldn’t expect anything happing after 6pm pst.

They will be shipping from some distribution center in the US or even directly from China so shouldn't matter where Essential main office is located. It's not like they are shipping from their office.

Hope springs eternal, we all know in our heads that nothing is being shipped tonight. I just wish one of the tech online sites was covering this issue as news.

True, but they might be processing the orders from their office, which means if the office is closed no orders will be processed and nothing shipped.

I don't think main office in CA has anything do with it, probably mostly engineers, C level folks, PR will be there. Handing logistics, order processing, support will mostly be outsourced and most order systems are automated anyway. They all have been processed and that's why we have been charged. All it has to be done now is the distribution center to ship once the phone is ready. Once the phone is shipped and delivered the order will be marked complete by the order systems automatically.

Obviously this is all a guess, god knows how they are handling it.

Over on twitter CNET’s senior editor replied to my tweet saying that they give companies the benefit of the doubt.... I wish they focused more on reporting facts rather than being an advertising channel for products.... Naive I know....
