By the way, have any of you that received the shipping notice actually been able to track ANYTHING about your phone? When I click on the tracking #, I get a notice that there is no such tracking number at the moment. God, I hope that this is just not another Essential tactic.

Doubtful. Apple, Samsung and Google never do anything when their popular phones are delayed or hard to get. Even a $1 kick-back to customers can be enough to pay for an employee's annual salary. Because of that, pennies are counted under a microscope.I know this is a silly question, but does anyone think Essential will do anything extra to make up for the screw up?
Yeah I understand software issues etc, but their lack of communication again and again is remarkable. They have made a big mess of the launch and one can only hope this was just a misstep and they will improve.Tracking numbers mean nothing until it's in the possession of the shipping company. Until then it could just be a shipping lable stuck to an empty box.
Glad I decided to pass on my pre-order. To many other interesting phones coming out to deal with a company like this. Rubin is loosing whatever credability his name once carried.

anyone recieved tracking today there are people on xda saying they got tracling info today starting about a hour ago
