Essential Order and Shipping Thread

Obviously they hit another snag. It's sucks. But it is what it is. We have waiting this long so if there is a delay of a few more days to freak out and demand a refund is to me, Essentially silly.

We are in the home stretch. Just relax. :)

They gave an actual shipping deadline this time. That is what has me pissed about it.
 
Let's consider the state of the roll out of phones for a minute
1. Apple is the worst! They introduce a new phone and then basically limit supply to make you want it more.
2. Samsung creates three different versions within a calendar year and one finally explodes due to company urgency.
3. Blackberry tried this year to salvage its brand and completely botched its rollout, you still can't order one today.
4. Google introduces the Pixel thru one carrier and struggles to keep up with demand.
5. Oneplus used an invitation only format which forced them to eventually apologize for making the buying process so hard.

Should we really be surprised by this? If anything they should have said that we would have our phones within 10 days and then shipped them after 7. The truth is, if I had not watch all of the tech reviewers on youtube showing me the phone, I might not be so anxious!
 
I know it's frustrating waiting but for now just don't think about it and once you receive it see how it goes and return it if you don't like. They are so close to shipping and you have waited so long from the announcement/then placing the order. So just wait few more days, even if you are angry and don't want to support them, use the phone and then return within the return period. Just my 2 cents :)

I mean they aren't weeks away, even when they sent the camera ready to order email few minutes back they said phones are starting to ship so it's matter of few days or any day now. Obviously it doesn't help if you are not ready to wait but personally I have other devices and just sold my U11 and S8, Z2 force is delivering tomorrow, so that'll keep me busy for few days.
 
My card just got charged as well. Vendors typically don't charge until the day of shipping so it's safe to say they're shipping tonight/tomorrow.

I have to agree with this. I was charged at first order but that dropped off. Then about hour ago I was fully charged.
 
FWIW, I just checked transit times on fedex.com from Shenzhen, China (where Foxconn is located) to my zip code. Both FedEx International First and International Priority showed delivery on Friday. Gotta love going backwards through GMT. So, if they do ship today and use one of these services then it's still possible that we'll have our phones on Friday after all. The only other option was International Economy and that showed delivery on Tuesday.
 
Here's to hoping. I work midnights so I get to constantly check my emails for updates lol. Guess its better than not being able to sleep due to the excitement lol....

My card was charged 2 days ago. Guess that means any minute it will be on my door step? Not holding my breath.
At least I could order the camera today. It said camera could ship with phone, so guessing shipment of both is days away.
 
Just got the same email regarding the camera. Does this mean my order has caught up to you guys who order 2 days earlier than I did?
 
I think by now, we can all agree that something is amiss. Perhaps it is all innocent enough or perhaps not. But clearly we all ordered the phone back on August 16th and should already have the phone or at least received notice of shipping. I have received nothing back from support except vague comments about looking in to my order, shipping to get back to me, within the week, etc.
