Essential Order and Shipping Thread

Funny that none of the android centric sites have not mentioned that Essential appears to be breaking another promise?

I guess most of them have their review phones and could care less now.

The phones could have shipped today and they just haven't sent the emails out yet.
Maybe they will really screw the shipping and give everyone a 360 degree camera or dock to make up for it. I wouldn't mind that.

Over on XDA they're getting responses from "Chuck" who is the customer service lead saying they should ship within 24 to 48 hours.

Essential shot themselves in the foot when the phone was super delayed. I really hope I receive this phone by the weekend.

Pretty sure if they meant 7 "working" days they would have said 7 Business Days. Im about ready to cancel my order. They REALLY should be able to meet a shipping deadline that they imposed themselves. Extremely frustrating. If they can't get it shipped when they say, I have very little hope for timely software updates.

I was under the assumption that the 7 days was 7 business days. Even though it wasn't stated, this is the norm with the majority of businesses.

Same here. I was hoping for 7 days but I assumed it was 7 business days. That's pretty standard with all things. You order a phone on a Friday from Verizon for example and pay for overnight shipping you will get it Monday. Not Saturday. Just my 2 cents. Would have been nice though if it was more clear. Maybe everyone will start getting tracking numbers tonight. Never know.

I know it's frustrating waiting but for now just don't think about it and once you receive it see how it goes and return it if you don't like. They are so close to shipping and you have waited so long from the announcement/then placing the order. So just wait few more days, even if you are angry and don't want to support them, use the phone and then return within the return period. Just my 2 cents

Look on the bright side .the only one device I was looking forward to aside from the essential was the note 8. After today seeing as it's basically an s8+ with an S Pen im glad I ordered the essential. At 699 compared to almost $1000 for the note 8 I'd say it's a deal.
