Essential Order and Shipping Thread

Ive emailed to cancel my order. If they cant even do an honest email response correctly, or meet ANY of their shipping commitments, I have lost all confidence in their ability to meet their promises post launch. Regular updates? Good support? Further add-ons?
I will believe it when I see it.

They will not cancel your order. I've been emailing for days trying.
 
No one has received a shipping notice despite Essential tweet. I even called their customer support number yesterday during the prescribed time and got a recording that "no one was on duty" and to leave a message. I sent an email instead to cancel my order and still no response. My American Express card was charged 8 days ago. I will call Amex and I KNOW they will credit me based on the facts.
 
I just want them to live stream with the 360° camera when the phones get loaded onto the FedEx truck. Anything less than that is going to be hard to believe at this point.

And no I don't feel entitled and am a very patient person but the principal of the matter is they have taken customers money and publicly stated a shipping time.

It's a shame not a single person in the company could be bothered to send an update last night that they would not be hitting their stated goal. I get they don't want the hate directed towards them but someone at some point said tracking emails would be sent out and it was ok to publicly state it. I feel it's Andy stating the info via internal memo and no one is going to call him out on it inside the company.
 
Its really very simple. They won't refund because there betting "with your money" that when you get it.... you will like it and keep it.
 
This is pretty bad, had they said your phone is shipping in 14 days and delivered in 10 would of made them look like superstars but to over promise and say 7 and under deliver in "whenever" is bad business 101, these guys are bozos. This is worse than the keyone launch because they at least specified the delay. I went and got the s8 active, pretty sick phone, this will be going back just because of the terrible business ethic.
