Essential Order and Shipping Thread

My FedEx finally updated to in transit Memphis. Can anyone tell me why in the world why my phone would go from indianapolis to Memphis Tennessee when I live in michigan. It went the wrong direction through 2 states when it could of damn near threw to my house

Mine is in transit from Memphis and delivery is scheduled for tomorrow. Camera unit is to have a separate email but same tracking number. They have my 50 dollars but I have no other information.

Amazon just pushed back availability to September 8 instead of tomorrow. So much for being an Essential investor and not getting supply chain priority. I'll have my Note 8 first I bet.
Edit: I didn't scroll back enough and just saw an earlier post here. Oh well. I may cancel anyways and wait it out. I'm more excited for the LG V30 now.

Ordered Aug 16th, still no shipping info, and I just got a refund notification for the camera (the only thing I've been billed for). I never requested a refund.

That's probably because you're getting the phone/camera at no charge due to the email debacle.

Ah, I hadn't seen that. Well, that's much more appropriate than Lifelock...
Just weird how they haven't contacted me at all, and all I got was the refund notice.

A few of us received ours today. Hopefully the next shipment won't take much longer.

I tried to use my MAC address, MSN and IMEI against my order number to calculate an approximate number of units produced. It's either in the neighborhood of 50,000 or my guess is way off. My order number was low but that doesn't mean they pulled phones from the bottom of the pile. If they're using LIFO inventory then 50k might actually be close. Subtracting my order number from 50k gets really close to my MSN.

That's ok.. my flew right over California on its way to Indy... and I'm sure from there it will go to Memphis.. . and then finally back to Cali.


My scheduled delivery day was next Wednesday... it just changed to Pending... pretty sure it will get delivered before that though.. I don't see it taking that long when its supposed to land in Indy in 45 minutes.

I have no idea what the status of my order is. I received the email asking for photo ID but didn't respond. I haven't been charged yet. And I'm not asking Essential. If nothing arrives, I'll chalk it up to experience and wait for Pixel 2.

Yeah, mine changed to pending too, was scheduled for next Wednesday. Though originally it was suppose to come in tomorrow, so maybe I get lucky? I did think it was odd that it was going to take a week to get here when it was suppose to be 2-3day air.

Experience with FedEx for me has been they usually deliver a day earlier than posted, typically when shipments are from China. I bet you receive it on Tuesday instead. You can call them but I doubt they'll allow you to pick it up.

My assumption is IN is the international hub and had to send it to Memphis for the US hub. I think everyone show it was sent into IN from JP.

Indianapolis has much few FEDEX flights than Memphis does. Some who lived closer to bigger cities that FEDEX has direct flight to got the phones sooner. You are one of the unfortunate ones like me where your package has to go through Memphis no matter what. From Memphis it will then got to a regional airport then possibly your local airport. Its just how the logistics of it works. I am still hoping for Saturday deliver but not holding my breath as mine is still showing stuck in Indianapolis.
