According to sprint the ship date is the 13th. I talked with a store manager who had to take down the essential display 2 different times, because essential pushed back thier ship date for sprint. Now it's up for good, so hopefully this week we start to see them release.

Just got my tracking info for Sprint. UPS next day air. It should be at my door today 9/13! ??????

Update the store I preorder from said they should start receiving preorders starting tomorrow and that the phone is shipping.

Just got mine today. Ordered on Amazon, cancelled by Amazon on 8/29, reordered on 8/31, finally got it today! Loving it so far!

Haha, just out of curiosity, I looked on Amazon, and it has changed from preorder to... "usually ships within 1 to 2 months". HAHAHAHA. No way. Guess if I want one I'll have to find it in a store. But, at least Amazon is being honest.

Best Buy sent me an apology letter for the delay but nothing has changed yet on my order status. Hopefully I will get it today or tomorrow. (Sprint Variant)

Just called the store where I ordered it, and its there. Sadly I'm stuck at work for the next 3 hours, and thats going to take forever lol.

Received an email overnight from Best Buy that my order is delayed and if i dont receive it by October 14, they'll cancel it.

I got my Note 8 yesterday, so im going to contact Best Buy in the morning and cancel my order.

Best buy just texted me that my phone is ready for pickup. I'm headed there after lunch. So I guess the delay email meant it was delayed for one day

I picked up my phone from Best Buy yesterday. I got it activated online with Sprint Chat. It works well so far. I like it. Going caseless at the moment but I did get Best Buy's Geek Squad Square Trade protection thing on it.


So far the signal strength is the same as any other Sprint phone. No problem picking up Sprint Band 41. WiFi Calling works great and hands off to Sprint LTE Calling which my last phone didn't.

Amazon is a major investor to Essential so if they are stating that, then Essential has major problems. This phone should never been released or it should have been released earlier. I think it will end up like the Amazon Fire Phone.
