Evernote changed the rules for their free version, limiting the number of synced devices to only two, and increased the price for the subscriptions.

Are you going to keep this app as your main note-taking option or are you looking elsewhere?

I've been using Evernote for a long time and, for now, I'll use the free version on my computer and main phone, removing sync in the rest of devices. At the same time I'll be using Google Keep and Docs a bit more, before deciding if I go premium with Evernote or just change platform for my notes.

I used Evernote a while back, but not often. They had made a major UI change, and that was when I decided to give it up. Keep had been released and I like that one a lot better.

I'm not sure if I agree with the move they made recently. I can understand that running an app costs money, don't get me wrong. But at the same time, they need to consider that the subscription fees have to compete with other ones, like Netflix, Spotify, etc. People may not give up those so easily just for a note taking application.

Nope. I use Google Keep. I don't want to pay to sync notes.

I mainly use Evernote to save articles from web pages. It clips the entire article, and the formatting looks great.

I tried using OneNote to clip articles from web pages, but the formatting looks horrible.

How does one even clip an article from a web page using Google Keep?

Yeah, Evernote does a good job when saving articles.

Ah I've never snipped articles so that may be why I never knew / looked for this function.

Yep I still use it.
I keep all my manuals for my power tools etc in ever note. I rarely use the desktop version so I'm ok for now with the web version.

I used to use it, but Google keeps adding to Keep, so I don't really see a need. Plus, Evernote kind of went all MS Word on me and overcomplicated the UI. If I want to use a confusing, behemoth of a note taking app, I'll use OneNote. :)

It seems you can use Evernote on you pc using browser and it doesn't count against the two minimum. I use the app on a nexus 7 and 6 and use browser on my laptop.

OneNote user here, for longer than there has been a smartphone version of it. Now I've used it on Android and iOS as well as Windows and I have several years worth of info all synced between a lot of devices.

Yes, I do - its desktop application is great and it works well on Android as well as on my Mac. I don't need more than two devices now, but I don't mind paying for a product that I use.

I used to use Evernote a while ago and I took advantage of the free year of Evernote Premium that I got when I bought my Note 4, but I don't use Evernote ever since my premium subscription expired.

I mainly used Evernote to store links that I wanted to save for later reference but I didn't use frequently enough to keep them in my bookmarks bar in Chrome. But now I just use Pocket to save links for later that I might want to reference at some unknown point in the future.

For serious note taking, I have switched to OneNote and it works great for me, since I use it on my Windows laptop and I can have those notes synced with my phone through the Android app.

Although I had to give up Evernote on one device it is still useful to me. I use Google Keep much more and it fits my style better for much of what I do, but Evernote is good for saving web pages and categories that I want to keep organized. (I'm trying to be better about labels and colors with Keep, but it isn't a natural.)

Evernote can DIAF for all I care. I used to like it, but Google Docs and Google Keep replaced the used I had for it, once the mobile apps got good enough.
