Everybody got drain!! lol

I took my phone off the charger at 9:12 this morning. This is where I'm at now. I haven't done anything aside a 30 minute conference call and some browsing. What do you all think?

That you should take a look at the thread I created about Tips and Tricks (look for it at the regular S6 forum or look on my user's posts) and follow some or all my suggestions, beginning with Wiping the cache in recovery Mode, and if after a day or so it won't get better then get a replacement.

I'm getting over 5.5 hours of Screen On Time, and I unplugged mine yesterday at 8:30am going for 28 hours already with 4 hours of SoT and I'm at still at 20% battery, last night I didn't charge it and when I went to sleep it was at 54%, today I woke up at 51%, so it just drained 3% overnight with all my accounts syncing as normal.

I'm going to take a look, thanks!

I lose 5-10% per hour with my phone configured the same way my previous android phone was. It is significant. It would be impossible for it to make 10 hours of battery life with no user interaction.

I've never seen the cell standby be the biggest battery drain after 5 hours off the battery with an hour phone call in there.

Hope I don't regret going back to Samsung after having them several years ago.

Settings/Connections/Mobile networks/Mobile Data. then switch "Enhanced 4G LTE" services off.
I didn't find it has any effect on battery drain. Not that I complain though. GS6 Edge's battery life as exactly the same as on my iphone 6 which i got used to. so i am Ok with this. I must admit I expected more though, but oh well.. all phones batteries suck nowadays unless you get something like galaxy note.

I don't see that.

This is what I have:

Then when I click on mobile networks this comes up:

Could it be this?

Posted this in another thread but it seems like my biggest issue with the batter is google play services. I haven't downloaded any apps or anything today does anyone know what could causing this?

Took my edge back today and swapped it for a normal S6. My screen was way to dim and the fact the auto brightness didn't work well just agitated me. I know sometime in the future they may fix it but I didn't spend $900 on something that failed at something as basic. The normal S6 seems brighter all around. Oh well..

No, I don't think so.. That's really weird... is that an AT&T phone? because mine is AT&T, Not sure if settings should be the same for all carriers..

Mine's from sprint. Do i not have this VoLTE option on sprint? If not then it's not wifi calling or VoLTE causing my cell standby issue.

jlit4224, you may have apps that are set to auto update causing Google Play to download updates int he background.

Also if you keep google now always listening for "Ok Google" that will drain your battery faster. Google play services includes Contact sync, Services Framework, Backup, Play services, Account manager.

How do you disable the option for Google Now to always be listening? I like Google Now, but I don't use the "Ok, google" feature so I'd like to disable just that part.

Change your voice search settings

Open the Google app .
In the top left corner of the page, touch the Menu icon menu icon > Settings > Voice > "Ok Google" Detection.
From here, you can choose when you want your phone to listen when you say "Ok Google."

I do not have mine yet and I've got to say it's getting scarier all the time.

Might as well turn the stupid thing off and then the battery will last for weeks LOL.

Between screen scratches, auto brightness not working right, battery drain, getting too hot...blah, blah, blah I hope I am not making a major mistake on getting this thing! Very expensive slab of junk??? :-$

OH yay, there's also the problem with the screen not rotating, and LAG, and STUTTER OH MY...Lions, and Tigers, and Bears OH MY!!! :(:'(

Nothing to really worry about. The phone is a beast. Yes I did have two scratches on my first phone but was noticed before I even left Best Buy. My new one is perfect. Got home downloaded the updated. Then I did a factory reset via the recovery mode, installed all my apps and settings and everything is butter now. No screen rotating issues, NO LAG or anything else. Yes sometimes it gets warm but all my phones have done this before.

You will love it.

The S6 may just be having some teething issues that with age and maturity (spelled UPDATES) may dissipate. Be patient with it, its just a baby. Now, yes, you could have had a Note 4 but you wanted the S6 so be patient with her, she'll be fine with time me thinks.

📐Welcome to the Dark. From the Note Edge.🍷
