right now nova free. tried installing google now launcher on note 10.1 2014, didnt happen. started installing/updating google search, but in the end said, app not installed.
the note is rooted btw.

Simple way to fix this is by going into the launcher settings, under that menu it'll have a "icon" category or something like that. Click on it! Under there you can change the size of your icons.

If you look above you'll see that I posted a solution to your exact problem for the icon size. I too didn't like the big icons. But you can fix that.
