Your right especially when a phone hasnt even been officially released. I do expect minor issues: camera, YouTube etc. But a phone that has been out for months having these issues: 3g, WiFi etc. No excuse ;) Just playing devils advocate :) Just giving him the flip side

Remember the Phonescoop review of the 3D from yesterday? The guy said He was lucky to get 1bar of signal and was having problems with missed and dropped calls. Also couldn't get 4G to stay on for more than a minute. Remember that? That was because he was in a bad coverage area, just like the people who are having issues with the Nexus. The rest of us are just fine with no issues at all. Same thing.

Well you said dont tell you, but I will anyways, the super amoled display is still better.. Sorry if thats not what you wanted to hear, but its the truth... My pictures turned up better than the evo 3ds with my nexus.. Have you used the evo 3d yet? Its really not all that fast... the nexus opened some apps faster, and streamed videos better for the most part... Not sure where you got your info from, but the 3d does not flat out out perform the nexus like you seem to think.. Not saying the evo isnt a more capable device, just saying.. Also, this is not a joke:)

Your funny dude... I think you and Focusfreak are growing on me (even thought he might still be a little peeved with me lol) But honestly when the devs on XDA get a hold of this thing its going to kick ass! I'm pretty sure it'll rip the Nexus a new one

Haven't used the EVO3D but I have the Nexus on many occasions and am very underwhelmed from the screen, to the camera, to the speed. There is not way in heck a lego-block looking pentile screen could look better than a non-pentile QHD - no matter the level of color over-saturation. I actually prefer the more realistic, natural colors and do a lot of reading on my phone - this was the first thing I noticed with Galaxy S on release day . I understand that the EVO3D might not be equal to the hype but again the NEXUS is much closer to the EVO4g then any current super-phone- they are both year old tech. That being said I would take the original EVO any day. I hope I don't come across as harsh but I am that convinced of my position.

Any problems like the Nexus S is having with 3G signals, wifi or GPS?

Hmmmmm you seem to agree with me over at the GSII forum!
Copied that from your post over at the GSII forum

It probably will and that's cool. I just don't want to hear any crying on here come fall when ICS is out and running on my Nexus and the 3D is still stuck on last years OS lol. I can already hear all the complaints about how slow Sprint is and how people are going to switch carriers etc...all because they chose hardware over software. ICS is going to be awesome. I will be sure to let you know how it is :p

Don't speak for everyone, because you have no idea what you're taking about. I live in an area with a great Sprint signal, and in 1 day my nexus missed 5 calls and 3 times I couldn't place a call. The WiFi was disconnecting in my house in areas that I've never had a problem with other phones. It's not as limited as you want to believe it is. However if it ever gets fixed I would consider getting the phone again. I was really disappointed that I had to return it.

Oh I will cry and then I'm going to beg to be let in to the Nexus club :)
Dude if that's true I'll buy a Nexus and give my 3D to my girl. Like I said before I'll go with which ever gives me the better performance, I don't own any HTC stock. But I highly doubt that will happen if anything I might give up the 3d to the GSII not sure yet.

Nexus is a GOOGLE phone. Do you really think Google would come out with an OS that their own phone couldnt run right? LOL. The Nexus One is nearly 2 years old and still runs GB flawlessly while newer phones like the Evo 4G are plagued with problems and already need maintenance fixes for it a week after they got it....Not to mention the Nexus S will have ICS many months before the 3D even sniffs it. Took Sprint 6 months to update from Froyo to GB and its not even the most current version, what a joke. A shiny new dual core phone isnt going to be that great sitting on an old version of Android while the Nexus S will be running ICS from day 1.
I will be honest with you. I currently have Froyo on my EVO4G ,chose not to upgrade to gingerbread, and would be perfectly fine if I never got another software update again. These updates are really overated - alot of hype but little substance. If you don't believe me check the gingerbread forums where many people are saying they see no difference or that the update was anti-climatic. This whole update thing with the Nexus is highlly over-rated. I don't know about anyone else, but I certainly don't buy a phone for a faster update schedule or for updates for that matter. You got to figure that you would never buy it in the first place if it didn't efieciently perform the tasks you need it to.

Ok, your choice. One of the great things about Android is all the updates with new goodies and I was tired of having Sprint decide when or even if my new phone would ever see it. If I wanted a phone that only updated once a year, I would own an iPhone.

This thread is filled with many lols.

But that's not what I wanted to say. I actually want to clear up bad info that keeps getting thrown out on this thread and forums.

The Dual Core platform is in fact able to utilize both cores on Gingerbread. Matter of fact on Froyo they are even being utilized.

Applications are NOT coded for the platform at this time and that is correct. There is a big difference. So to those beating that drum of the OS not being optimized at this time to run and utilize both cores on a dual core platform. You are wrong.

The info is out there. Look it up.

Ok, I wanna throw my 2 cents in... First, I'm no major tech dude that knows how to develop or do not use my phone for gaming... just like shiny new things and know how to work my way around flashing and modding a bit...

With that being said, I currently have both phones.

I bought the Nexus 4g at launch, even though I have had terrible luck with Sammy. I came from the OG Evo, thinking I'd try it for 30 days and return it if it didn't knock my socks off.

Needless to say I still have it, and gave my wife the EVO... this phone is amazing. The Super AMOLED screen is much better looking than that of the OG EVO in regards to colors, sharpness, and overall appeal. The blacks are REALLY black, and all the other colors are true... not faded/washed out. The speed of the phone running ADW ex is head and shoulders above that of the OG EVO, and the fact that there have been no bugs with GB and the rest of the system apps is amazing. Like someone above already said, its not somebodies modded GB, its true GB.

I got the EVO3d early as I am a Premier member to try it out... was really curious about the SLCD, 3d, and dual core... plus I wanted to see what an official version of Sense 3 was like. I like this phone too, but have not made it my primary phone. The screen is much nicer than that of the OG EVO, and I will say that it seems more crisp than the Nexus... but the colors are still not as vibrant as the Nexus. It is fast, but I don't know how much faster than the Nexus. Scrolling does seem to be smoother, but I think that is a result of the material used on each devices' screen.

I want to like the EVO3d, I want to put it on my primary line to really test it out... but everytime I really think about doing it... I look at my Nexus and decide against it. One because it's naked, as I don't want to buy a case for something I most likely will return, but mostly because I don't want to not use the Nexus as much.

I actually googled Nexus 4g vs. EVO3d to look for other's opinions... I was curious to see if there are many other people thinking the same way I am, or if I just really need to buck up and put the EVO3d as my primary phone in the next 20 days.

I guess we all need to take a step back, forget about the internals of the phone, and really see what is the best Android phone for what you need it for...
