Evo 4g lte or samsung galaxy s3

Trust me on a android device you'll tell the difference with more memory quite fast. If its one thing I hate its lag and my evo lags alot.

What exactly is a "proper SD slot"? They both have internal micro SD slots with the same capacity and speed.

The GS3 will see the physical SD card as the "/sdcard/" directory. This means all data that the apps write to the sdcard will actually go in the card.

The EVO uses the internal 9GB as the sdcard.
The real sd is seen as ext_sd, so not many apps will use it.

I hate lag too...that's why I switched from the Galaxy Nexus. I wan't even gonna grab the Evo LTE because of my prior experience with the Evo 3D...which was a gimmick in itself. But anyways, I haven't experienced any lag yet and if it does lag, it's so minimum..that i don't even recognize it

Wait what the ***k.............

So am I wrong and assuming:

Sense + ICS running 700 Mb used or so. Add all the normal things running in the background and I generally have 150Mb left or so to Multitask.

Touchwiz+ ICS could use 1GB, add the normal background running stuff and you should have 800Mb or so left. Sounds like a HUGE difference.

And if Best Buy will let me switch my device out within 30 days I will probably switch (this multitasking thing is killing me) and leave my wife with the 4glte

Well to each their own..bro. I haven't even touched a SG3 but based on the reviews etc, both devices are great. I may grab one and I may not. But like every single device that has came out in the past, the SGs3 will have one or two flaws, an issue or something that will upset people. It happens everytime and the GS3 will be no different...

But I am thinking about getting one just to test it out side by side with my Evo Lte...

That would be nice. I have never quite understood why it is set up this way on the Evo LTE.

Hope it doesn't get delayed by customs bcuz I want to test them both out.
If I choose the LTEvo, I hope they release the white one soon.

The more I think about it the more 2 gigs of RAM sounds very useful.

The more I think of it the more I believe The Evo LTE has a superior display - one that is even said to rival Iphone's retina display.

This is the choice for me. Everything else is a wash.

HTC all the way. Samsung phones are nice if you don't mind cheap plastic. :p
Also alot of people still have a bad taste in their mouths about that Samsung Instinct that Sprint sold them.
I patiently waited with my old EVO until the new one came out and could not be happier about this new phone.

I actually like the way Evo LTE has it. That way if you have to switch SD cards you don't have to worry about the android secure folder. and leave the SD card for media, like movies, music, etc.

I chose EVoLTE over GS3.

My choice came down to better radios vs more vibrant screens & smoother UI. In the end, I valued the better radios more

Well, that is a good point, too...

If you want the more "vibrant" screen, you have it now with the Evo LTE.

Won't truly know till I see sprint s3 in my hands.

Well you are obviously going to get Bais answers since you posted this on an an Evo 4GLTE forum but being someone that doesn't have either phone I would say its all up to your preference. If you don't mind NOT having a removable battery and a faster UI(according to all the reviews I've seen so far) and like Sense go with the EVO. Other wise go with the S3. The EVO's Screen is slightly better too although Iv'e read the S3's screen is no slouch neither. I personally think the S3 looks better hardware wise but software wise I like Sense 4 better. It's a toss. Just go on you tube and check out comparo's and see what you like. Don't use this place. They are pretty much going to steer you to the phone they have.

Lol, no I won't because I love Samsung and I might switch. I already ordered one and I'm going to compare them. I have a feeling camera and screen on the Samsung will beat the HTC. Hardware and texting features on the HTC are pretty sweet though.

Honestly, never using another samsung ever again. Horrid radios and I hate their stupid ui. I live in the baltimore area, theres no reason I should have no service anywhere near my house, yet with both sammy's I've tried, nothing. Htc and moto had full signal.
