You shouldn't need to back any thing up but like with any thing electronic it's probably not a bad idea to back up any thing you deem important....

2.01 to 2.1 was a major update and we didn't have to reinstall everything. I'm fairly certain all of your installed apps and settings will be preserved.

I hoping Froyo will make th Evo UI screens less laggy. Can't stand the lag and the delay that occurs before the keyboard pops up.

I'm with you Cory, hoping for a jump in performance. Not that it's bad now, but the more performance the better. I'm also looking forward to the improved camera and video recording.

Ya it's already insanely fast. The only time I see any lag is when an app is installing. Other than that it flies already. I can't WAIT to get this tomorrow. I wonder what other enhancements are gonna be there that haven't been mentioned. I also wonder how fast will video be made testing the fps lol.
