Soon? Don't tease us orrebmas!!

Just a quick question: is the flickering related to the refresh rate of the TVs? I have 60, 120 and 240 Hz TVs and would be glad to compare them as to the flicker issue.

Hope to see this app released "soon"! LOL

Plasma break-in slides to measure how much pixel fluctuation is being had is needed to make sure that flicker is extremely low or it could do damage to such displays.

Dont kno if it matters but my evos SENSE hdmi also flickers when im on 720p resolution and stops flickering in 480p...problem might be with phones hdmi and not your app...flickerings not that bad though

Higher frequency TVs will make the problem worse, since they read more screens per second.
I have a solution in mind, but its not a simple 2 liner. It involves re-spinning the kernel (again) and a lot of trial and error it seems to get things right (which means a lot of time). That will be my next focus.

When you get back into it I have a feature request. I remember you telling me about the evo's hdmi grabbing all the mem when it tries to run. What I'd like to see is either your hdmi service stop on it's own when sense calls hdmi or your service kill sense hdmi when it tries to load. The latter would be my preference.
Also, I've ran this on my 50 inch plasma. I get some flicker. Mainly when the swype keyboard is up.

hey orrebmas you sent me the rc2 apk yesterday to my gfs phone, but authorized it for my email address. remember that hers is the unrooted phone even tho i reply here with rican. i figured **** it ill send it to my phone and its still said unauthorized user lol

Guys, remember that the Youtube app works fine via the OEM HDMI out capabilities. If you want to view the Youtube app on a TV, then just don't use the app. Same thing for the Gallery or anything else that causes conflicts. At least for now.......

I'm going to dedicate some good time to testing this weekend, including testing it on the in-dash TV in my car. I'm a make some videos with my girl's Evo while I use mine to mirror. I'll post them up ASAP, but it probably won't be until Sunday.

Play a movie in what format? Streamed from a site, using my Slingbox or something downloaded onto my phone? I don't have any movies downloaded, though. The better the quality of the stream/movie you're playing, the better the image will be. Also, if you use a lower resolution, you'll get a much sharper image but you won't use all all the inches of your TV. The projected image is more than good enough to watch it, IMO.

U can download them from stagevu.com with 4g it takes like 1hr....theyre in avi/divx format....i usally convert them to mp4 in evos screen size so i can get full screen but at 720p is lil over pixel but still 90% watchable..just want to kno if itll be the same or better quality then stock/oem/originals hdmi

I'll download a trailer at least and try it out. If it plays through the OEM media player, it may conflict with the app. I'll have to test it and see, but somebody else may have done that already. Feel free to chime in if you have.

Nice I'm hoping to get in on the beta so I can test on my in dash moniter in my car... All my cables come today... I really want to use this with the app torque so I can see all my cars gauges temp rpms pressure hp

Next release is going to be public, open to everybody. I couldn't finish it last night and this evening I have other commitments, I think it will be ready this weekend.
