Has anyone else seen problems with widgets? Several simply disappear (i.e. Google Voice, Doggcatcher, Music, etc.)...they are there but invisible - You can long press where they "should be" drag them to remove then replace them and they are there for awhile till the disappear again.

Anyone else having this problem & if you are, have you found a solution?

Loving the new voice actions, if you haven't tried them give it a try its a huge improvement from before!

Had the Swype Beta and now just get Swype force close messages, can't get Swype to work anymore, anyone else run into this senario and found a fix?

did you uninstall the Swype and Swype installer before updating?

could someone please help me i got the invite for swype i had forgot it was in the new update and when i pushed the update it is tossing out swype has unexpectedly force closed i'm not rooted and have just got the phone i tried to delete the swype installer and swype its self that didn't help at all cuz i tried a reinstall and comes up after doing that is there anyway i could reflash the stock new update from the stock recovery or will the brick the phone usually that will but any help will be appreciated

if you currently have swype beta installed go to swype forums before downloading the update. The sprint update swype & beta do not work together.

just installed the evo update and swype keeps shutting down. I had swype beta which i have uninstalled and reinstalled but it is still crashing. Any thoughts.

you have to uninstall swype and the swype installer then do the update. You do not need to reinstall swype after the update. Swype is now native to the evo therefore no longer necassary to have the beta version

i found the update this morning. Installed it, forgetting to uninstall swype beta. Upon reboot it kept force quiting. As soon as the update was done i changed input type to the normal keyboard which stopped the force quiting. Removed swype beta, changed input back to swype and all was ok.

Install took about 15 minutes. I considered it effortless.

i had the swype beta already installed, and i didn't know that this update was going to give us swype. I installed the update, and i was getting a force close on swype...so i deleted the program, but now neither of the programs are on my phone. The beta one and the one i got from the update...any way to remedy this?

same thing happened to me. I just re-applied the update using the manual method described in the root of this thread, and that solved the problem.

ok folks swype beta is a newer version then the one sprint gives out. An example is when pressing the keys you see a blue lit key. The beta is not comparable with phone that comes with swype preinstalled such as the evo now. Its even in the beta agreement if you read it that you can not be a beta tester if swype is preinstalled.

Usually a final reboot will take care of that. (Power off then power on)

Have tried and still same problem...but, I have learned when it happens all I have to do is turn the display off and back on. IT is still a pain! Anyone have another idea?

i tried winamp and A online radio... niether works now. they start to buffer then stop.

It would be HTC at fault if that stopped working. Sprint does not develop this software. Best advice is take some screenshots and send them to the HTC devs. Very easy, and that way they are on top of knowing about the issue.

yeah, I uninstalled the Swype Beta and Installer and now all is fine and dandy, as for a previous post i saw regarding the fact that someone frowned on HTC/Sprint adding Blockbuster, well Netflix has been dragging their butts putting out an Android App so kudos to Blockbuster to be the first on the block with an Android App and they are trying to get back some market share and doing something about it like catering to us folks living in the droid world. Maybe this will fuel the Netflix people to get busy.

I just did the upgrade via system updates. But I cant for the life of me find Swype? I go into settings,/Lang&Keybrd touch input and All I have is QWERTY/Phone keypad/compact QWERTY? anyone else missing this or is it just me?

Definitely enjoying my tunein radio stream as I respond to this thread. Maybe a full erase weighs help, although it shouldn't b necessary...just verifying that at least someone is streaming w/o issue.

About the full erase, I just wanna recommend this move. Having my device for six months, my tests were showing slower quadrant speeds than a standard evo and was just above the Galaxy S series. Now w/ the update I'm running only slower than the Nexus 2.2 standard...great optimization if the background is clean I guess, and I assume I'll have some improved battery life. Yay!

I am not able to get the 4g scan to work. I went to 4g settings and it says, tap to scan although it is not highlighted. I tap and get nothing. tried turning on 4g and still nothing. Ideas? I am also not able to stream any anything like xiia without wifi. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Ok maybe its just me, but I installed the new update and yes Swype was included. I see it listed in all applications, however, it isn't working on my EVO. Is there a specific way to make Swype work.
