Evo update is live now!!!!!!!!!!

So based on a couple threads in this section it's going live. Rather than everyone posting whether or not they can/have/want to download, can we focus on those who have it installed and what they find as far as bugs, hidden additions/fixes etc???

I agree. We all know it is available. How about we hear now on experiences with it.

Got it. First thing I noticed is the battery icon is new.

Text selection has also been updated.

One possible bug I have is that the VM notification symbol won't clear even though I have no new VM. Any ideas on how to clear that notification?

Mine just sits on "checking"and will do so until Hell freezes over. Why do I know this? Because my Evo has been doing this for weeks. It also won't let me update my profile/prl either.

Anyone have any thoughts and/our solutions? I can't begin to tell you how frustrating this is. Or maybe you do know.

Please, help!

Everything seems snappier and there is no longer that lag when typing with 4G on. 4G feels faster. And my MLB app finally works like a dream. It streams the video flawlessly.

Is there a way to skip the previous update (3.70.651.1), and jump to the new Gingerbread version instead?

(I don't want the last update!)

New options in Settings

A)In Sound settings, there are several new options. Under Incoming Calls, there is 1)a Pocket Mode(increase ring while in pocket or bag), and 2)Flip for Speaker(Turn over your phone to activate the speaker during calls).

Under Feedback, there is Screen lock sounds(play sounds when locking and unlocking the screen)

B)in Applications Settings there new options. There is 1)Development(set options for applications development), 2) Storage use(view storage used by applications, and 3)Fast Boost(turn off to use some Market apps[already Checked])

When you are in the Application Settings, hit Manage applications, go under On SD card, check out all the apps that are on your card, and the ones that are unchecked to can go on the card(THIS IS SOOOOOO COOL)

Under the same settings go under Running, press any app you don't want to run and it will tell you "Stopping it may cause the app to fail." They also tells you that app(example Lookout has 1 process and 3 services.

This is what I have noticed so far, will tell more later

Yeah, that's awesome!
