I know there have been similar posts but I have not found a definitive answer for the Nexus S 4G. I want to buy this phone but we use Exchange 2003 and I know that some phones have a native email app that will render Exchange 2003 email into HTML. For instance, the Motorola Droid phones do but the HTC Android phones do not. I know I can buy Touchdown (which I had on my Incredible) but I do not want to do that. So can someone please confirm whether or not the Nexus S 4G's native email app displays Exchange 2003 email in HTML?

Thanks!

If you already bought touchdown for your incredible you don't need to buy it again.

The native email cilent stinks - supports exchange 2003 without any ability to move emails to folders sync/filing of emails to folders. Makes using exchange/outlook/hotmail useless without a program like touchdown (and spending $20)

Thanks, I know I don't have to buy Touchdown again... I should have said I don't want to use it again. I want to be able to use the native email client and I want my Exchange email to be in HTML. Not being able to move emails might be a deal breaker though as I do that a lot. No one seems to know whether or not the native email app actually displays Exchange email in HTML. It must be so bad that no one on Exchange actually uses it! :) Thanks for the input!

The native app does not show exchange 2003 or Hotmail based on exchange 2003 in html. It will show exchange 2007 in html. Push mail was not supported in exchange until 2003 and 2007 added html. I know that there are some 3rd party apps and the iPhone that do html with 2003 exchange but they do not support the push protocol as specified by Microsoft. I'm sure this is why Google does not have it in the native app, even Windows mobile phones did not support html in exchange 2003.
