I guess if you keep secrets from your significant other on your phone, don't get A P4 until they get this fixed.
Google says it will be a few months before they have a fix.

How would the device know when you want to unlock or not unlock?I saw some reviews that it unlocks at times you don't want it to unlock. Like glancing at it to check time, see a message on the lock screen, etc.
Which then forces you to lock it manually again.
Except for people who want FPS on the frontIMO, it's an incredibly stupid move on Google's part.
The rear fingerprint sensor on previous Pixels was perfectly located, fast, reliable, and secure.
I can do my job with my eyes closedWhat I find funny is that google said there was nothing wrong with it being able to unlock with eyes closed. As far as they are concerned it's not a bug- comical.
For the life of me, I cannot imagine why.Except for people who want FPS on the front
Blink twice if I can drive the stangOr you winked and went to selfie camera
Close both eyes and turns off the phone .
You've never seen the debates from users that want front FPS?For the life of me, I cannot imagine why.![]()
Oh, but I have. You've never seen the debates from users that want front FPS?
You ever used a car with a parachute?Blink twice if I can drive the stang
I haven't. But I did find using devices with front finger print sensors easier to use when device is in a cradle / car dash mount. You've never seen the debates from users that want front FPS?

Yeah... I checked into it. That can probably be changed but not sure I have an issue with something like that. It's not much difference than having smart unlock on.It opens every time regardless, whenever you look directly at your phone. I read that Apple has a further swipe up required after it unlocks, but Pixel unlocks opens up immediately.
