Facebook app not opening

[Android Central Question]

Since installing the latest update yesterday for my samsung s8 i can't open my facebook app. It says its stopped. Very frustrating. Tried re installing but to no avail. Using fb lite atm but that sucks.
Anyone know how to fix this issue?

Yep. FB is garbage on 2 of my phones.

2 options work for me:

1. Clear Cache in FB
2. Clear Data in FB
3. Force close
4. Reboot phone.
5. Check FB app


If that doesn't work, try uninstalling app and reinstalling.
