Facebook app shows photos too large

I installed the FB app on my new Galaxy Tab 4 and photos on my news feed/wall are too large for the screen. I've seen some mention of that Android App is not working well and some have said to just view from browser. Any hints, suggestions, answers as to why?

Welcome to Android Central! The recent reviews on the Google Play Store site are mostly ripping Facebook for various bugs and problems with recent updates, so that may be why you're having issues as well. You could try emailing the developers as well: android-support@fb.com

Another thing to try would be to go to the App Manager, select Facebook, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now open it again, log back in, and see if the problem persists.

I have the same issue qnd found this thread when I searched Google.

Does anyone know if there's a way of making images smaller yet... after nearly 3 years?

Hey! I just had the same issue.

Settings > app settings > Facebook (app) > force stop > clear data > clear cache

Reopened app and it fixed the issue. Hope that helps!

I just tried this - and it worked! Settings>Manage apps>Facebook>Clear cache>Force Stop. (Note that I didn't Clear Data.) Then restart phone.
