Facebook videos keep stopping/pausing

[Android Central Question]

Facebook videos keep either playing and flashing up with the thumbnail for the video or the video pauses every second the video is playing so I have to press play again it's only been happening for last couple days...

I have already cleared cache/data and didn't help at all

Help please

Its happening from last 2 weeks with my samsung s8 ..i gave feedback to facebook already they didn't replied anything.. i think its a bug with s8 phones only or it could be problem with new fb update

Having same issue, the thumbnail keeps popping up, the vid of will stop moving but the audio keeps playing, and subtitles will be for different videos. Wasn't always like this! Please fix! Galaxy s8 +

This was happening to me (on S8) whilst watching facebook videos. Tried everything but nothing was working. However i started watching the videos on full screen and non of them have paused yet! Fingers crossed thats the issue solved. Annoying you can't watch it on little screen but at least it doesnt pause! Hope this helps someone else

I'm getting the same thing, I have a Samsung Note 5, wondering if it's from the latest update? Very annoying! YouTube vids work fine. I've sent feedback to FB, no doubt they would know about it by now.

I also had the same issue in my galasy S8+ .. when i play a videos on Favebook video news feed same thing happens.

Solution: click the full screen icon on the top right corner of the video. It solved the issue for me.

I have been experiencing the same issue on my Note 8. Today I changed the performance to "high performance mode" and have not had any issues with videos. Might try this to see if it works for you.

I ended up changing to the entertainment option.

I was having the exact same issue. Make sure you are running the latest version of Facebook. I just updated mine about an hour ago and haven't had it happened since.

Very frustrating. What I did notice is if I turn my phone to landscape mode it stops (on videos without the full screen option link). With this nice big screen (S8+) it's not necessary to go full screen to enjoy a video. I hope this is corrected soon.
