If you look at the PDF files on their website it shows you the instructions OTA so im sure its not designed for Wifi retreival

I'd imagine it will be done OTA, but it's possible Verizon will publish the update on their website for download as well.

When somebody gets this, they will have to see if Kies works with the Fascinate. That could be the next step to Froyo. But then again, this is Samsung

I followed the instructions several times today. Same thing every time. "please wait" followed by "Server Unavailable" or the "please wait" just disappears with no response.
Called tech support and this is a "known issue". I wonder if it is b/c my phone is rooted and I've disabled the crapware (renamed the apps that I don't want which include the apps they are trying to update.
I'm still on hold for "level 2" tech support.

Quick question... Since this isn't the big Froyo update do I still need to put the crapware back into the system/app folder? I moved it off to the SD card for debloating purposes.
