I created a child account on my old phone. I have a very large audio file that plays all night for my child's bed time that I want on that account but I can't access it from file manager.

How can I transfer it to that new account without a proxy (like uploading and downloading, or a PC)?

Moto X Gen. 1
Android 4.4 I think.

Copy it to a common area on the phone, switch accounts, copy it to the child's account. Delete it from the common area.

(Or it might work if you just copied to a common area, then deleted the original.)

Welcome to Android Central! How big is the file? Can you email it to the Gmail account associated with your child's account? (The Gmail attachment filesize limit is 25 MB.)

Another option is to upload it to your Google Drive, then share it with the child's Google account.

I will give that a shot tomorrow. Thanks!

B. Diddy, it's 12 hours of ocean sounds for sleep at a decent bit rate so it's like 895 mb.

Have you tried telling Google Assistant to play ambient sounds? https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7364558?hl=en. Although that help page is for Google Home, the commands also work on a phone with Google Assistant (although I'm not sure if it'll play for 12 hours -- on my phone, it showed a duration of an hour). Do you have a Google Home Mini? If so, the support page says it'll play for 12 hours if you don't stop it.
