[FINAL][ENDOFLIFE][ROM][ZVD] Joylicious, JoyOS, v1.0.3d - 8/25!

Just thought you would want to do it yourself. One thing I did was once I follows that guide, I pulled the 3 libs from an unmodded version of joyous and placed into the base rom.

I only used barebones as it is a smaller package and trimmed to remove dead weight (figured less stuff to go wrong). The joyous build I used is an actual official joyous Chinese rom for a mdpi device.

Re: [WIP][ROM][ZVD] Joylicious, Port of JoyOS + CM7, Alpha0

See... I don't think so.. I paid attention and it actually copies the files...

Hmm...I just know I followed the instructions and had acore FCing like you had, and I redownloaded a clean JoyOS and put those last two lib files in and it worked fine.

Btw I also used the same JoyOS version hlxanthus used...

I do, I do! :D

It is probably corrupted lib files or something..

Exactly! I think it has something to do with bad libs..

This is the mdpi rom I built from. Of course I cannot read anything but I am fairly sure it is official LOL. I didn't have any luck trying thru the actual joyOS site, not being able to read Chinese. So I used a rom for the model number I was looking for.

Patrick, hope this helps.

Buddlespit let me use the ROM to learn with... I am gonna try to build the ROM myself, the edit the ROM to my likings...

Google Chrome offered to translate the website when I went to joyos, it does good enough to get by :P I couldn't find the site you found but that seems easier than my way haha.

Re: [WIP][ROM][ZVD] Joylicious, Port of JoyOS + CM7, Alpha0

Do I need to include iPhone ring-tones as a separate zip, or can I include them with Alpha1?? Would it be illegal to add them in?

Re: [WIP][ROM][ZVD] Joylicious, Port of JoyOS + CM7, Alpha0

Getting an error when I try to flash Alpha1.zip (I redid alpha1 today)

"End of central directory not found... Installing.. can't open /sdcard/Androidstuff/A1.zip (bad)"

This happens if I turn signature verification OFF.

If I turn it ON, I get status 0

Here is the recovery.log file from /sdcard/clockworkmod/recovery.log

Code:
-- Installing: SDCARD:Androidstuff/A1.zip
I:Set boot command "boot-recovery"
Finding update package...
I:Update location: SDCARD:Androidstuff/A1.zip

I:Update file path: /sdcard/Androidstuff/A1.zip
minzip: Could not find end-of-central-directory in Zip
E:Can't open /sdcard/Androidstuff/A1.zip

Signature Check: Enabled

minzip: Could not find end-of-central-directory in Zip
E:Can't open /sdcard/Androidstuff/A1.zip
(Unknown error: 0)
Installation aborted.

Those two different ways of flashing GIVE THE SAME ERROR...

Developers? How do I fix this????

EDIT - It was the Zip Signer I was using.. I should have suspected something when ADB copied the so called "ROM" over to the sdcard in 0.18sec..

Won't sign files from now on..

ROM Update:

Alpha1 is built and running completely. Everything works; will upload here in the OP tonight or tomorrow morning..

Have to practice my Clarinet tonight when I get home in preperation for State Band Tryouts in November. So, I don't know if I will have time tonight. If not, it will be uploaded tomorrow.

You guys will LOVE Alpha1. There are just some bugs I am working out..

I switched the port from the HTC Shift 4G to the LG Optimus V.

Screen Lock Sound doesn't work right now, but EVERYTHING else (including 3G/Data) works.

Re: [WIP][ROM][ZVD] Joylicious, Port of JoyOS + CM7, Alpha0

Updating the OP Now...

Alpha1's Messaging, 3G/Data, 1X/EDGE, Camera, Video Recorder, and everything else works...

There is just a little twist to it all...

Re: [STABLE][ROM][ZVD] Joylicious, Port of JoyOS + CM7, Alpha1 6/

so....maybe remove this line from the OP? ;D

Please do remember that you can't do anything with this ROM right now... You can charge, unlock the AWESOME lock-screen, see notification area and quick settings/toggle area, and see the power-off menus, and power-off. You can't get around the ROM right now, but I am seeking help and trying to figure out how to fix the FC's..

Also, a suggestion, you have to scroll for what seems like an eternity to get past the screenshots to the install instructions. maybe put the screenshots after the instructions, or eliminate some of the screenshots and give a link to them somewhere else?

I am looking forward to trying out this ROM soon!
Good work.
