Fingerprint Lockscreen Not Showing Up

Hey guys,
I'm a returning Android user and I recently got the Galaxy s5 and I'm having a problem with the fingerprint scanner unlock for the lockscreen. I go to settings and then hit fingerprint unlock, it works fine until I try to unlock the phone, it doesn't prompt me to do the fingerprint swipe over the home button... It just lets me swipe the screen and get into the phone... It only works when I swipe the lock icon from the bottom of the screen, it doesn't do it automatically...

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have any Smart Lock features turned on? For example, is the phone connected via Bluetooth to a Trusted Device, so that the lockscreen doesn't show up as long as they're connected?
