Fingerprint Scanner Not Working Well

The 10e is slightly awkward for lefties, still they never figured out where on the back to put it so I guess we should be pleased they are trying other locations!
Re the 10/10+ the FPS is not terrible but it's not imo quite ready for prime time, coupling it with proper secure 3d face unlock would have been a good combo but they backed themselves so far into a corner with their no notch stance that proper face id was never on the table this year.

hahaha... I was just kidding guys!
I mean I use my Gear S3 with smart lock, but fingerprint works every time for me. Not discounting others issues it just works here in swampy Florida.
I hear ya. I plan on connecting my Galaxy watch when my phone comes in.

I have my watch connected. I also use Smart unlock for certain locations. But having the FPS working well has other benefits. In particular, I like to tap my phone once to get to the home screen, instead of pressing the power button (or double tapping) and swiping.

I have a gear watch guess I'll need to figure out how to do the smart lock thing.

I can't wait for my phone to come in. The FPS is one of the features I look forward to trying out.

IIRC it should be under settings > security > and then Smart Lock. From there you can setup location, Bluetooth devices (like watches), and other things.

When you connect it... you should get a notification to use it to unlock your device or something like that.

It's weird but it is already set as a trusted device so is my address when I am home and at work and I don't think it works.

Sometimes with the home address what I used to do was pop something like weather or Google maps open for 5-10 seconds after getting home. That way the GPS updates that I am home and I am good.

You are absolutely right. I have it set to a Bluetooth speaker at home, not wifi. Sorry for the misinformation!
