Fios Mobile Remote and Zoom Wifi only tablets?

Hi,

I'm trying to help a friend who just got a Motorola Zoom tablet wifi only version with the Fios Mobile Remote app!

The app in setup is looking for a phone number?

There is no phone number associated with the wifi only tablet?

Has anyone found a work around?

You can try a google voice number. Don't know about that app. If you can enter your own number google voice will give you number for free.

if remember right i had a toshiba thrive wifi only and it didnt work on that cause it didnt have a number. dont understand why, cause its wifi only

For 5 bucks you can make the xoom a phone. First you get a google voice number, then you download an app called GrooveIP, on the market. Those 2 in conjunction will make your xoom a phone as long as you have a wifi or 3g connection. Get a bluetooth headset, various settings to go through, and your good. Not sure how the mic on the xoom is or if it even works with it, only used headset.

I use the newer sony bt headset from ps3 by the way.

Trying the same thing on my AcerA500 and can not get around it I have a Google voice number that did not work. They show the iPod as an option so you must be able to set it up without a number
