[OUTDATED][FIX FOR] Netflix "syncing" issue

This is outdated. I am leaving it up as a reference. Everything is in tact here as originally was:

Okay. Some members were posting about issues of the audio/video not syncing. I have just discovered what the issue is. The newest update doesn't want to work right on our phone for whatever reason. So, for now, I suggest using this app (most recent build prior to current) and enjoying Netflix for what it's worth.

Just download this app into sdcard. Use a file manager to navigate to this app. Select it. Hit install. Enjoy.

This app is not edited and is the pure official version. It will ask you if you want to update. Just hit cancel.

I still recommend using a governor other than smartass if you are experiencing any more issues during playback.

Video playback on this one is noticeably better thanks

EDIT: The only bad thing is that every time you move to a new page it ask to update to the newest update of Netflix

Glad to hear its working for you too. Yeah, the notice really doesn't bother me because I'll usually watch something for an hour or two and then be done with Netflix for the day. Anyway, like I said in my other post, I will keep you guys up to date on the Netflix builds. It's not that my flashable zips don't work, but its the fact that the new build is screwy. So, for now that's on hold and this is the temporary replacement. And you guys will be the first to know when a "stable" build releases

Bumping this for visibility. Nobody seems to know that this is the file that is used to make Netflix work on the optimus.

Is anyone else seeing color issues and a large green bar across the top of the screen during playback with this version (though it is definitely in sync vs the latest official)? Any way to fix this for Reborn Rom, or do you have to be running a CM7 build to get good video?

I know that CM7 or Gingerbread builds have always worked without the green bar. IIRC, it was fixed in the latest Reborn ROM. However, I have not tried it myself so I can not verify it for you.

Sounds like a localized issue on your particular phone. I haven't experienced that issue....

I am useing drew's ver of cm7 and it works perfect the only thing I noticed was in order for me to get it to load I had to move it to my SD and that be cuz I am useing data2ext but I could be wrong thanks for the help I'm enjoying my 30 days free now from my phone

Where can I find the latest Reborn ROM? The only one I can find was last updated in July

That's the newest. If you are having issues with Netflix on it then the issue is with froyo (as its always been) and not the rom. But everything will be moving toward gingerbread now as we have the official release. So be patient for the devs to get everything switched to gingerbread and try again.

Depending on the rom you have it will differ. If on cm7 it will be under the performance settings. Change it to ondemand.
