Kept trying the trick as it worked for 4.2...finally got it!! Took too many tries to count...don't lose hope. Lol

Worked for me cleared Google services framework and immediately rebooted and the update came up.

The immediate reboot seemed to be the key.

I FINALLY got it after about 6 times

Worked like a charm. Not sure if this helps, but on clearing the data there would be a popup about location services. Clicking on "Disagree" and then checking for update did the trick.

Question: when you did the force update did you have to re create all your synched accounts?

Tried multiple times but it never worked for me. I'll continue waiting. I heard they're rolling out by serial number and mine is pretty new since it was a replacement for one my wife broke.

Worked for me, first time...Had to delete Google account then add again.

Had to do the same thing. App updates from play store wouldn't work otherwise.

Thanks!!! I've been waiting for this update for days! I tried your original post and it didn't work. Clicked update at least 20 times... after reading others comments I restarted and tried the whole process again, then it after 3 times clicking the update button it worked! I almost gave up too!!! Can't wait to try it out.
