Former Note 7 owners Pre Order Link here!

Please do report back if Samsung charges you additionally after reviewing your exchange device.

I did the same thing though. Bought an iPhone 5 from swappa that I'll be sending back to Samsung. I'm just sure we're gonna get screwed though.

My S7 Edge is in mint condition and even has the factory sticker on the back still. I see no reason I will get $25 unless it is damaged in transit and if they say it's damaged I have photos and I will pay the few extra dollars to insure the package and if it's damage will try and make a claim with Fedex.

Okay, anyone have more than one Note 7 under the same email address? I had two - I have pre-ordered via the link for the $425 trade on one but it won't allow me to order another. I chatted with a rep last night but he couldn't do anything. Just wondering what or if anyone else has encountered this. I did get the IMEI numbers from Verizon just in case Samsung needs proof.

So if I order from Samsung and turn in,my LGV20 do,I have to,pay off that device before I activate?

I'm almost thinking of doing this deal. the only thing is I would have to pay off $175 on my s7edge to Tmobile. If I could get the $425 credit that'd be nice. When you finance a phone through Samsung though do you have to use their protection program or can you still use Tmobile for that?

The device has to be paid off before you send it in from what I understand

I called Verizon today and spoke to Matthew (who is a former Note 7 owner too and was really cool) and he said I will not have to pay off my LGV20 because I am still obligated on the loan, but since I am buying the phone from Samsung that payment will stay on the account until paid off. So since I am buying through Samsung I don't have to pay off Verizon, just keep paying monthly. This makes me happy. Can't wait for my new Note 8. Matthew said I am homesick for my note!! Love it!

It says if you don't have a email to validate you can use a receipt from your carrier or credit card. For your second one I would just get your carrier receipt and go that route. That might work for you.

Yes continue to pay but Samsung will not accept that as trade until the IMEI number is clear if you were thinking about trading in.
Not sure if your into Google but now is a great time to Sync Google calendar and contacts makes switching ios easier, also after you activate your Android phone you'll need to delete your iPhone from your Apple profile other wise messaging won't work

My guess is, that you can still sign up for TMobile care on your phone, those are great money makers for them i doubt they would pass up your money.

You do not "have to" sign up for samsung care, you do get 2 free months though so if you want to sign up for it until you get things straight with Tmobil that may be a way to go.

I've heard that in the past Samsung has been very picky about the condition of trade-in phones. Their terms and conditions for this promotion say the phone must have "no breaks or cracks or other visible defects that go beyond normal wear and tear."

It's a bit tough to see in this picture, but my phone has 2 scratches on the back, plus a bunch of tiny scratches near the bottom. I would call this "normal wear and tear", but I'm worried that they would just give me $25 for it. And since sending it to them is legally transferring ownership, I'd be screwed. So I'm not sure if I want to risk it.

so what stops people from buying an iphone 5 from walmart draught talk for $99 and trade that in.

will samsung except an iphone 5s from straight talk. you can pick one up from walmart for $99

at&t won't do anything for me. I got a v20 when I turned my n7 in. they said it was 300 something trade in or i owe 500 something. so I called customer service... talked to some foreign guy for a while who was very nice. I explained I could just switch carriers if you guys do nothing. he took all the info and said someone will call me at the end of the week with new options. the next day I get a text that said my case can't be processed. if we didn't get a work discount with at&t... I'd tell them to shove their phone up.........

I guess I'll just wait another year? Not too happy about it all
