I also had a Pre on release date and loved it. I tried waiting but with no notice of Pre3 I got the 3D. It is an awsome phone but do miss the ease of WebOS. Thinking about buying the Touchpad when it comes out..

Have had palm since the Treo 600. Me and my wife both had launch day Pre's... we waited and waited and waited... Now we have Evo 3D's... Its a sad day when I look at it that way but I am glad I made the move. I miss somethings from WebOS but I am having a good time playing with all the new apps and getting used to the new OS.

I was also a pre owner but dumped it almost a year ago. I don't understant how you guys held on to that ****ty phone so long. The OS is also lacking in so many areas and then you have to rely on homebrew to fix the many problems that were never fixed.

Yeah well I made the switch from pre to 4 g evo and I do miss the pre there is an application called wave launcher that will give you a features that your missing.

Wait what??? If im correct isnt that what we do with custom roms for our android phones? Isnt that why we cant wait to root this phone also? Not to jump on you but i thought that homebrew community was just like the xda site or even here.

I just got an EVO 3D and the slingplayer mobile will not connect and play

I had an EVO 4G and it worked fine. I still have the EVO 4G with no service but the sling mobile is still on that phone

I wonder if that is the reason for the EVO 3D not working

anyone else with problems with sling player mobile for EVO 3D ?

As an old pre owner (jumped ship for evo 4g) android rooting and roms are totally different and much more involved...and potentially dangerous if you don't follow directions closely vs the pre where you literally could not brick it and one you typed in the code for developer mode access and installed preware you could mod anything on the phone as simply as tapping an option and installing.

That's the only real thing I miss was the ability to customize every individual element the way you want with just a tap...but the apps and huge selection of way better built phones has turned me into an android lover

it took about a week for me to become fully adjusted. I'm very happy with this phone. Still haven't figured out how to have multiple web browsers running like i could on webOS.
I effing LOVE the way it feels in my pocket. I always forget its in there. Unlike my sprint preplus that I've have to shoehorn out of my pocket if i was sitting down.

Menu>Windows> hit plus sign to add new window. X out to delete other windows. It's not as intuitive as WebOS, but it's two quick steps, so not a deal breaker.

I had a launch day Pre until it died at the beginning of June. I bought a 4G to hold me over until I could get the 3D last Sunday. I do miss a few things about Webos but for the most part, I am very satisfied with Android.

Htc added a new way by just fully pinching the current window in and hit the x to open another window.

I was an original Pre owner and avid webOS fan. I was extremely excited about the TouchPad and Pre3, but I could no longer wait for the Pre3 to be announced on Sprint. I know that there is a CDMA/EV-DO capable phone in the works. I just decided that I did not want to wait until September for a possible phone and another several months to see if more app developers were going to make vital apps. Although Android is not as good as webOS, I love my EVO 3D and all of the apps for it. It is a very functional phone and a step up from my Pre. HP has some stiff competition out there.

Yet another 2 year Pre- user. You can only be asked to hurry up and wait so many times before you just call their bluff and they lose yet another customer. WebOS is a fantastic platform but until they can get reasonable hardware and real developer support it's going to be thrown to the wayside...

I may miss some things about WebOS, but I will no longer be missing photo ops because the camera failed to load, or the picture didn't take, or it locked up for 20 seconds, or a webpage locked up b/c there was too much content... the list goes on. Perhaps another day HP. Little green robot - here I come.

I too have had a Pre from the start but could no longer wait for new hardware. WebOS was great but it is Andriod for me now

I miss webOS (not my frankenpre) greatly. Everything just worked together so smoothly. Got the evo 3d the 22nd and it took til yesterday to get my work exchange account syncing correctly.
