ok, i know im a noob, but if it comes shipped with 2.2 or whatever, and a month or so later it get gingerbread, is that just a simple take it to the vzw store and get a 30min update thing? or is it we are screwed and should have waited for it to get updated to gingerbread before we buy it?

That's what I was thinking, but I didn't want to say it yet because I was still thinking.

There was a lot of back and forth about whether Netflix would be on the Thunderbolt because it uses the same processor as the Revolution, but people weren't sure about the DRM codes needing to be hardcoded into the processor.

i think its over-the-air (OTA), the way the updates are pushed out, and are download in the background during the day. You probably won't even notice the download until you get the notification.

You have gave NO solid information, just a bunch of puzzles, all your doing is adding to the drama that already surrounds this phone!! I just would hate to see you promising these people a date and getting everyone's hopes up and then not deliver, which at this point is a pretty certain option if you ask me. You were asked about the Verizon announcement and you said by Thursday and then a few minutes ago asked again and your story changes and you said that the droid 2 only had 2 days before it was released. Your stories just don't jive man. Plus you have yet to produce 1 once of proof about anything!! Period.
