[Forum Game] New Thunderbolt goodie? UPDATE: One of us is right!

Yeah you're right with that. They (Apple) do have it going on. But they have a specific niche or market and not a lot of variations to that market. IE, Ipad and not 10-12 different companies making the same thing with IOS on it. So I think they can focus more on that one product alone and not support the whole ball of wax..

Plus the Apple (Jobs) followers are somewhat like a cult in some ways :). I have spoken to my buddies with IPhones and I swear they think it is the second coming and they won't even think about looking at anything else.

These are the guys that would buy a bag of IPoop if Jobs took a S**t in a paper bag and called it IPoop. Hell, they would pay top dollar for it LOL

Having an iPhone or Apple product is a status symbol while simultaneously giving people a sense of belonging. If you have the latest Apple product then you are "in" or "cool". If you don't, you're an ugly, fat, poor, nerd.

At this point they would sell the t-bolt if they could...something is holding them back and it is not the ipad2. Ipad 2...Really?

My new fear is that info that we have heard from the Panda..and some of the other folks; that they have somehow changed something with the phone...I am worried that the lack of a release date at this point means that something far more serious is in play and we are just not hearing about.

For example...lets say it is a new battery (which would be awesome, as well as HTC.com)...they can logistically know how long (ballpark) it takes to refit and get them ready to sell, hence...wait for it....a launch date! It's not hard for them to say..."it is going to take us X or X+1 days to do this". So unless we hear something from Verizon pretty soon...I think we are looking mid/late March at the earliest! Fingers crossed!

BTW...I don't know about you guys but I am either buying this bad boy on Launch day (if it is soon)...or thinking on waiting until contract comes due in June! I want an HTC...isn't the HTC Pyramid coming in May? Isn't an EVO 2 coming soon? I don't care about 4G if I have to turn it off..or it is going to cost more...etc. I am not a gamer or a movie watcher. I do e-mail, surf the net, take pictures, text and most importantly use it as a phone. I don't know...just tired of waiting for the drop thinking that Verizon has me by the "you know what".

What they have changed was started a LONG time ago. It's fixed now and ready for launch.

That's what I was thinking, but I didn't want to say it yet because I was still thinking.

There was a lot of back and forth about whether Netflix would be on the Thunderbolt because it uses the same processor as the Revolution, but people weren't sure about the DRM codes needing to be hardcoded into the processor.

I'm going with Netflix instant streaming. Anyone else think that the Netflix logo on its side looks vaguely like a lightning bolt?

I am with you there. I used to, until this whole debockle with the Thunderbolt release....Seems like one of the blogs posts something and the whole world quotes and buys into them as though the Apostle John wrote it himself.

What's the saying?

I believed the first blog....Shame on them....
I believed the second blog....Shame on me.....

The third one, well heck I am reading and posting in this riddle filled forum :)
