I got my OTA update to Lollipop (5.0.2) a few days ago and now Foxfi displays this when trying to enable WiFi tethering: "WiFi mode is no longer allowed in the latest phone system update without a mobile hotspot plan. Please use USB mode or Bluetooth mode instead using our software."

:(:(:(

Not surprising. In the past, updates have killed foxfi mhs before on other phones . Many times foxfi finds a loophole. It is really a cat and mouse game. With that said, Verizon is the only Carrier that I know of that offers unlimited unthrottled 4GLTE hotspot officially, so I am not really complaining.

Same here. I thought after the FCC ruling, Verizon wasn't allowed to deny access to apps. Big surprise that they really aren't held accountable
