Fragile Screen?

how does this have anything to do with the topic at hand?

Seeing as he just joined today and this is his first post and this is probably the first forum he has been on. Person tells him, yo mang, you gotta go get this thing flashed over. Guy looks confused and asks what is that. Person tells them to hit up Google, they find this forum, find the first RAZR thread, and posts their random as all get out question.

If this was to happen on my home forum... dude would be ate up by the trolls. Gotta have thick skin to roll around there.

I was looking to get the Razr, but these stories about cracked screens have almost turned me away. I usually just carry my phone in my front pocket and I always have a case and screen protector for my phone. I can't say that I have never bumped into a table or leaned over to pick something. I would hate to think movements like that would cost me the time, money, and effort to repair the device. I am wondering if the Bionic would hold up better. I am looking at that phone as well as the Rezound.

To the actual topic, I believe this is not a common problem as there isn't a wide variety of people posting that they are having the same problem. I do see a select few posting a few on this topic and only a few. It all depends on how you take care of your phone. I'm a delivery driver and unload. It stays on my pocket all day and have no worries about it.

Since the LCD screen is attached to the gorilla glass and gorilla glass doesn't like to flex, that probably puts odd pressure on the screen board when it wants to flex from unusual movement (in your pocket). So instead of bending slightly, all the pressure stays at the initial point of contact and forces a crack to the fragile screen board.....just a guess though. Glad I haven't had this issue and mine is always in my pocket

Its an issue you may never deal with. My friend and I both had a RAZR and always keep them in the front pocket with no issues. I upgraded to the MAXX because of the battery and no issues either. I assume the thickness of the MAXX, while slight, helps stabilize the phone. Not sure though.
