From Pre to EVO 4G

I just started on this thread today and I'm noticing the there are alot of Pre users jumping ship to the EVO 4G. How many are there I wonder?

I too am switching from the Pre to the EVO. I love WebOS but the Pre's hardware just plain sucks.

There was a poll here a week or two ago asking what people were switching from to get an EVO and 46% were Palm/webOS. I'm one of them and after HP's extremely discouraging comments, I suspect a LOT of early Pre adopters will be upgrading to the EVO as well.

It would be interesting to see how much drop off in Pre usage there is in the next month or so. It's pretty much game over for it. Pity.

Count me in, I really do like WebOS better than Android, but it seems Google was the stronger predator and Palm doesn't have the support to keep in the game. I am hoping that I get used to Android and they make some of the changes that makes WebOS so much smoother and intuitive....

that poll was skewed as windows mobile wasnt added until half way into its life.

im switching to the evo tmr.... today i just picked up my 4th pre...my 3rd one the power button got stuck....and all i have to do is stick with this pre for under 24hours then im moving on to andriod....the pre sucked!!

I will be going from the Pre to the Evo tomorrow at 10 AM.

I loved WebOS, but it's not worth getting new updates every month if the updates just add more bugs.

switching to the EVO from my Sprint Pre. Had my launch Pre til mid May and my power button broke. I contacted sprint and they wanted me to pay $100 to get replaced. Contacted palm bc of 1 year warranty and they replaced it and my replacement had a blown speaker...I got another new Pre & it's very nice and sold it on Ebay for $215 with my accesories.
