from Storm 2(9550) to BIONIC

If you really have to ask this question, then just stick with the storm 2. ;)

Absolutely. OG Storm to OG Droid slider was huge enough... When it releases... Burn that upgrade.

will that be a big enough leap to burn an upgrade?

I can only imagine it will be. I had the original storm so I have some idea what the storm 2 would be like and can only say it wont be anywhere near what the storm 2 was you will wonder how you got by on it for so long.

I loved my Storm2 - bought it 10/292009 and never had any problems with it; other than the restarts when you added an app, memory leaks, and slow browser - and, at the time I'm glad I bought it; Android was still in its infancy and I liked the BB O/S over it - but I have TIRED of it and want a BIG screen and fast internet, and LTE. The Droid Bionic is just what the doctor ordered!

I had a BB storm and switched to the OG Droid and I can't imagine having to go back to BB. They were groundbreaking when they came out but their device engineers have apparently been suffering from creative constipation ever since :D

Atleast your with the BB Storm 2 (9550). I'm coming from the BB Storm 1 (9530) and waiting for an upgrade to the Bionic.

I'm on my 3rd Storm (9530) The phone is horrible and soooo can't wait for my new Bionic !!!

I have been on Storm 2 since release and got a tast of a Charge/Android before I found out I was already grandfathered into Unlimited so took it back to continue waiting for Bionic. It will be more than worth the wait, I am already getting a preview with the D3 I bought my wife last thursday with the Blur 3D and I think we will have a winner with Bionic.

What did you think of the Charge? I almost jumped and got that phone, but decided to wait. My good friend has a TB and loves it, but she is not a real "power user," if you know what I mean. I played with it and liked what I saw, but figured the Bionic would be more advanced...so here I wait.

It was a decent phone for the mid range user (not for the power user in my mind) but not what I have been waiting the last 6+ months for. I wasn't a fan of only having 328Mb of Ram to manage apps and the over saturated SA+ Screen. Reds always seemed overblown especially in photos. I also didn't like the hump on the back either, I prefer as much a flat phone as possible. If you can get over those couple points then it wasn't a bad phone.

As everyone knows im in the list of Storm 2 users that will be making the leap to the bionic if it ever arrives.

Lmfao at all of the Storm owners in here. I'm on the 9550 right now too and I'm stuck between the Bionic, iPhone 5, or Galaxy s2. Today is my upgrade day, not sure if I should burn it on the first device that comes out (most likely the bionic), or wait for all 3 devices to come out, so I should weigh my options...

Bionic is the way to go. We know for sure that out of the 3 it will 100% have LTE; the others are iffy at best if that is a determining factor. In the end its your money but mine is going to bionic, don't want a Iphoney and the GS2 just really doesn't interest me all that much and both of those like I said is not for sure if they will have LTE at all.

I hear you, but I live in Richmond, VA...I would have to drive 2 hours to D.C. in order to experience LTE, and we aren't getting LTE this year according to Verizon's LTE website. I would be better off switching to Sprint right now, but I don't want to lose my unlimited data (in case I want to switch back to VZW) and good reception, even though I would be saving way more money w/ Sprint's everything plan...

I dunno, I try to think in 2 year timeframes and by then I will be stationed somewhere else that will have it, and if I am here for christmas I will see LTE. Thats why I was thinking of as future proof a phone as I can.

I can't believe the number of former BB users that have become so disenchanted with RIM, are tired of waiting for their technolgy to catchup, and jumping ship to Android. Makes me sad in a way - I was a diehard BB fan, but there is just no way for me to defend them any longer. I setup and used my neighbor's iPhone quite a bit and I was really not impressed that much with it; which makes it easier for me to switch to the Android O/S. I am VERY comfortable with BB OS 5 and I can do it in my sleep; yes, I know it's antiquated, but even the "smooth" iPhone O/S felt akward after all of my BB years. I am looking forward to learning the Android 2.3.4 and so far from what I've seen on the videos of the D3, I am an anxious student ready to finally breakaway from BB and learn a new way of doing things...now if that darn Bionic would only come out!
