K sooooooo I think I know the answer, but its not a good one. Koush had said in his intro to the bootstrapper that if logwrapper gets messed up- you're hosed. Part of my error does say the assert check for the logwrapper failed. I'm downloading the sbf right now.

I'm getting that error 7 thing when it tries to update CityID... Granted I had deleted it and then re-loaded it.

Thats great news Cory! Was your X dead stock when you did the upgrade - or had it been rooted previously?

Did you install the update directly to your phone - or from your PC first?

I want to minimize my chances of a brick.

I did not install Koush's anything. That must explain why it's working with me. I would flash the original SBF if you can find it.

Rooted. Made sure I put all the bloatware back to the way it was. Install is from SD card, not computer.

Ok, I'm done. Surprisingly, I only had to press "Ok" once during the whole process and that was to initiate the update. I was staring at the "red eye" for a looooong time (a couple of minutes). I started to get panic'y.

Things look different but other than that everything seems to be working. I still have SU so all is good.

Time to dig.

Thats great news for me. Still waiting a bit longer before i take the plunge. The update.zip file just goes on the SD card right? not in a folder on the the SD card just ON the Sd card?

Ok... so the story gets worse... sbf doesn't work... It gives me an error... cannot oppen recovery cache!!!! I'm hosed!!!!
