totally disagree, been on the leaked and its like a completely different phone. way smoother and what not. Thats why I havent reverted back to 2.1 so I can get the official. Im gonna stay on this one unitil its out and then I will revert.

completely agree. I was running the first 2.2 leak until this weekend when backed down to 2.1 so i could take a legit 2.2 upgrade. figured it was soon.

Im not going to upgrade to 2.2

I will wait to upgrade to 2.2 until root is available. In my opinion 2.1 with root is more important that 2.2 without root. but this is my flavor and what works for my situation. Can froyo be rooted?

Just installed the update and found that the OMAP processor just upgraded itself to a 4440 now running dual core at 1.5GHz.

Indeed. So most likely the source claiming the 2-3 week delay was right. Also, I made a post back on 7/21 talking about how I asked an instore VZW rep about Froyo, and he said not for at least 2 months. Sooooo... 7/20 + 2 months = 9/20.

Guess VZW reps aren't as dumb as people claim them to be. Oh and he said AT LEAST 2 months. Meaning they knew damn well for sure it would be considered ontime/early if it made it before summer ended. We may even be waiting into October if things don't smooth over with Exchange
