Froyo ETA Set

The front page tells me that I can do a manual system update for 2.2. I am not getting it

I am rebooting the X now and will try again then. I hope I can get it before my 4:30 conference call.

I'm running the leaked 2.2 and thinking about going back to 2.1 stock,should I?

I'll only go back to 2.1 when somone sharper than I cracks it and root can be maintained. Birdman was just threatening to make the OTA 2.2 his "wh*re", so I'll wait until he's got it turned out before installing.

awesome, really looking forward to this. ok, noob question here. i'm currently rooted on 2.1. do i need to unroot to pull the OTA? or can I simply stay rooted and allow for the update to run?

History has shown (and by that I mean the small update to 2.1) that you will lose root when you update.

yea, and I expect that i'll loose root which is fine. i just want the official. so, sounds like it's a safe bet i can still pull the update no problem even if rooted?

I'm sure it'll be fine. It's the people who have been using the leaked Froyo builds that have to worry.

Noob to Android here...do I have to do any backing up prior to the upgrade or any restoring after the upgrade and does anyone have a decent idea as to how long the upgrade will take? TIA...
