[FullHDMI] Official FullHDMI discussion

orrebmas..... I am having trouble buying your full app on android market... when i hit pay the web page that opens crashes.. I would like to pay for it. I'd be willing to pay $10 for it because i want it so bad... for some reason i can't dl any paid apps... i can send u a donation on paypal or however you want it.. i would really appreciate your help... i used you beta test but it says expired now.... I really need your help on this because ur the only way i can get it since my app market isnt working right

After testing multiple AOSP kernels I've been able to verify HW acceleration. There is however a bug in the HDMI detection which allows for 720P mode. No matter what AOSP setup is used, it comes back as no HDMI kernel detected when trying to enable 720P and reverts to 800x600. I will try to post a log output later if requested.

The HDMI kernel detection issue doesn't affect Net's 4.3.4 kernel on Sense.

I finally grew some cojones and flashed a rom and kernell...running vaelpak 3.2 kernell 4.3.4 as recommended and its definitely worth it, especially for those who are using this app for work like me!

Is sound working in AOSP yet? Or just Sense still? Is there still AOSP progress happening?

Not unless there has been a release that I missed?? This is why I've started using the other app which has the added benefit of being free. Perhaps the ui isn't as good but I can play my Super Mario Bros from cm7 in all 60" of glory with sound.

Big update on the site enjoy!!!!

I got the update and went to the homepage and read the highlighted message
I'm confused a little... does this update mean hardware acceleration on out of the box evo's and if so when you open the app it says no accelerated kernel detected yet it is able to be set on the 720p after the notification. I'm not at home to test but last night when I hook it up to my 46' sony it would not mirror do to resolution constrants of the TV.

I'm rooted but stock sence ROM and stock kernel. Thank you in advanced.

I do like that the app is closing with no problems now, you should post that in the market under update, thats was a nice touch.

FullHDMI now officially supports out of the box non rooted phones. This has been accomplished by modifying FullHDMI's very own any-kernel tech. Thanks Lokifish for all the testing.
The non-rooted and rooted branches have been merged together now, and future enhancements will take effect in both.

this works awesome orrebmas...kudos to you and everyone who helped get it to where it is...just purchased...5 stars my friend...

Loving the new update!! only one small bug - setting custom res bumps the 4th digit to the next line down due to text box being to small. Some HDMI audio out with AOSP will be "Finger lickin' good"

I don't know about Sam but I know my brain was mush by 0530 helping him get it ready to push to market. I forgot to test the text boxes, sorry.:-[

Its no big deal haha, my TV just sucks and I usually just let it clip the edges. Now with 720p I figured I would zero in on the best screen size. Pretty simple bug it made me laugh really.

You guys really put a lot of work into the latest update, it has none of the starting problems that I used to always get! ;)

When I watch movies with rockplayer my tv is blurry is that cuz my Fps is low if so can over clocking with another app help or is a custom kernel the only option

There is scaling that needs to happen to take the image from your phone to the TV. When you use 720p output from your phone, you are letting the phone do the upscaling to 720p and the TV the rest to fill its 1920x1080 pixels. When you output 800x600, the TV is doing more upscaling to fill its pixels, and depending on your TV's scaling engine, the image may look blurry afterwards. I have an Insignia and a Toshiba. I do not like the way the Toshiba does the scaling and I see a little blur effect, while on the Insignia I prefer to output 800x600 and let the TV upscale it as it does an amazing job and gives me a boost in FPS from my phone.

So to sum up, using a custom kernel and 720p will minimize your TV's not-so-perfect scaling and may give you a better result.
