[FullHDMI] Official FullHDMI discussion

Not sure what's going on. While I was updating the benchmarks today I double checked a number of ROMs and had no issues on the following:

Stock OTA
Stock OTA Rooted
Stock OTA w/ Net 4.3.4
VaelPak 3.2
VaelPak 3.2 w/ Net 4.3.4
CM6
CM6 w/ Savage-Zen 0.2.1
CM7 RC4
CM7 RC4 w/ Savage-Zen 1.0.1

These were all tested for compatibilty using fresh installs. I'd suggest trying a fresh install of your ROM/Kernel and see if you have the same problem.

BTW- Benchmarks have been updated (posted on the site) to FullHDMI 1.3.2 and HDMwIn 1.2.5. Will also be avail for support chat for the next couple hours.

do all net4.3.4 kernels work work with asop roms, iv seen kernels on xda that specify asop or sense

Net 4.3.4 is a Sense only Kernel

There are a few AOSP HDMI kernels out, Savage-Zen and Tiamat are both great

Just purchased from the Android Market and when I try to start the service, it says I have an Unlicensed Version and gives me the option to buy, but says "Purchased" in the Market. I dont get it?

Not sure what happened with latest update but it does not work on my phone. I've use them all through the betas and this is the first that totally froze my screen making a battery pull necessary. For some trouble shooting purposes, I am using SPB Mobile 3D as my home launcher but I've use Full HDMI with it before the latest up date without issue.

Update: Ran the update of today's update and things are sort of back to normal. There seems to be more flicker than before and eventually the phone slows down considerably. No freeze like before, but not as smooth as before either. Is it possible to get the old apk before the updates on the 6th?

(Rooted: Myn's RLS5 with SBP 3D)
(Kernel: Netarchy 4.3.4)

I just updated the release to fix the unlicensed issue. For those who were seeing that problem please try the latest and let me know if it fixed it for you.

Aburgthing, When is the app freezing? after the loading screen or before? I have a hard-lock prevention which kicks in after 7 seconds, I am assuming you waited more than that.

This is off topic, but I had to ask...

Is there any chance of orrebmas creating an app that lets us use a wireless keyboard and mouse? If I am not mistaken, that would also allow us to use game controllers, and use our phone as a keyboard for a ps3.

This seems like the next logical step after full hdmi mirroring, and orrebmas appears to have the skills to get it done.

I was using the updated app to basically just browse the phone, then opened "Rock Player" to view some videos I had on the phone. It ran smoothly for about 5 mins then began more frequent flickers and eventually just locked up solid. The phone was unusable requiring a battery pull. I noticed an updated version in the Market and applied it (with the account issues but it allowed me to download it eventually), ran the program again. Played HomeRun Battle 3D through several games with some stutter and flicker; nothing terribly unbearable. Backed out of that and again it eventually froze up again. Total time to lock up about 20 mins. Hopes this helps. If you need anything else let me know.

There is already a solution for this but for AOSP only. There is no way to duplicate it on Sense or OTA based setups. Go to the Gallery/Setups page on the FullHDMI site, there are two configurations listed. One is a Gamer config and the other is a Desktop config. Until CM7 gets mouse pointers the only ROM/kernel option is CM6.1.2 and the Savage-Zen 0.2.1 kernel.

I haven't been active here much as I'm testing multiple browsers to find one works well for the desktop config. Once I find something that works atleast half way decently I'll update the site. At the top of the list is xscope browser but am still waiting to hear back from the developer about some issues and modifications I think need to be addressed before I give it the thumbs up for everyday use.

Regarding cm7 and 6.1.2 with both roms fullhdmi seems to work fine, but when I try to run nesoid to mirror with my tv the phone reboots every time...wondering if anyone knows why this is happening.

Btw I don't have that problem when I run nesoid on vaelpak 3.2..

Thanks for the info. I'll have to check your site out.

I was able to duplicate the issues. I uninstalled and reinstalled FullHDMI 1.3.4 and my emulators are working now. Try that and let us know if it works for you.

Love this app!!

First off, I want to say that this app is AWESOME. I'm running Virus' Inspire 4G port, and FullHDMI works flawlessly in 720p on my 32" Sony Bravia, using custom res 1215x680.

I have only one request - would it be possible to add a landscape view for the app? When I set it up (as probably most people do), I use the kickstand, and it seems logical that the app would be able to rotate with the orientation of the device. Just a thought. I will continue using the app either way :D.

Great work!!

Yes I have that in the plans. Right now I am focusing all my time on fixing serious bugs related to general functionality and reliability. As soon as I get those out of the way I will be implementing a portrait UI, that should be fairly easy.

FullHDMI 1.3.5b testing needed

Sam has asked me to post a link to FullHDMI 1.3.5b for user testing before it gets pushed to market. I've tested it on CM6.1.2 / SZ 0.2.1 with no issues except phone audio only in both "Gamer" and "Desktop" configs. I will be testing other ROM / Kernel sets later but Sam needs some feedback and bug lists from as many of us as possible. Thanks in advance for the help guys!

Installation Instructions: (I was unable to get it to install as an upgrade so)
*uninstall current version of FullHDMI
*install 1.3.5b

When posting bugs please use the following format:
Hardware Rev.
ROM / Kernel
Resolution (also custom scaling if used)
Audio setting
App being used when bug occurs
What happens (something like "random lines across screen")
Screencaps and/or logs would be great

To those that are willing to do more in depth testing please check:
Browser
Media Players
Music
Games
Emulators
*Anything else that comes to mind

Stock rooted / Net4.3.4 & CM6.1.2 / SZ 0.2.1 & CM7 n37 / stock kernel
All Resolutions
All Audio Settings
Gensoid, FPse, Stock player
*Audio switching doesn't work* On Sense audio only comes from HDMI / On AOSP audio only comes from phone
*attached log is for sense. It shows switching back and forth between Phone and HDMI and hitting apply/restart each time

FullHDMI v1.3.5 was just released to market.

Major update brings stable Audio back to AOSP. Also audio switching is supported again. Other enhancements include a major performance boost in 800x600 mode and app stability tweaks.
