I apologize for being absent from the scene lately guys, but after giving this project 110% of my time to launch, life is finally catching up and taking my development time away. I have been busy answering emails and helping people get their phones up and going, this by itself became a full time job.

There are a few things I want to add to FullHDMI now, first is 720p. I will be putting whatever free time I find into this so hopefully it will be out soon. Development of FullHDMI has not stopped here, optimizations and features are coming.

We're thankful for all the effort that you have put into this. These things do take on a life of their own and I for one understand the need to step back and take a breath. FullHDMI may be important but not as much as family and your bill paying job. I think as consumers we tend to forget that.

Could 1024x768 be added without having the need for a custom kernel or a lot of dev time? If it's an easy addition then please but if not don't worry about it.

Nop. Unfortunately its not in the current HTC kernel. When you change resolutions the driver checks against a list and either allows it or denies.

I think it's a great solution for everybody involved as net is known for doing some sweet work. We are however trying to keep things separate at the request of both oorrebmas and shinzul but do appreciate the info.

I miss 720p

Downloaded the app from the market. Nice! A few things I noticed, though.

- I can't save my custom resolutions (as was the case in the Beta version). This would be extremely helpful, since once I resize the output for my intended display, I have to repeat the procedure every time I connect it & *hope* I remember what I set it at.

- I no longer have the options of resolutions greater than 800x600? Using the Beta version, I was able to set my custom resolution to around 1215x680 and stream hulu with relative clarity to my TV (note: I was running MikZ 1.0 at the time - I'm running WarmZ 2.2 currently). It was AWESOME. Now, with the market version, the video output isn't as high quality.

With those features, I'd be estatic .

I understand the amount of time this must take and appreciate all the work you've put into it so far. I, like everyone else, will be patiently waiting for your update . . .

So any of the 4.3.4 kernels are HDMI enabled? I no longer have to run this SBC kernel that makes my phone run at 100 degrees F when it's just sitting on the table?

Oh, I fully intend to, but I left my HDMI cable at home because I was streaming Nick Jr from Slingbox to my phone and onto my kid's TV last night and forgot to bring it with me. I think I'll flash one of the kernels over now to start getting a feel for how it performs and test the HDMI later.

ALL 4.3.4 CFS kernels are HDMI enabled. netarchy will release BFS tree as well, as soon as he fixes the bug which causes the latest WiMAX radio to lock up.

I'd be wary of BFS kernels at this point for HDMI. In testing, BFS causes serious framedrop/smoothness issues for both apps. We are talking unbearable to watch, I actually got dizzy watching the benches on a BFS kernel and had to revert back to CFS.

CFS = Completely Fair Scheduler

CFS kernels tend to focus on the system as a whole, and CFS is the default in the mainline linux kernel. CFS's are efficient for lighter or standard tasks, think texting and web browsing here. The stock kernels that we run from HTC are CFS kernels. The CFS kernels typically give you the best battery life as well. Though it's worth pointing out that while CFS does attempt to be more fair with respect to all running processes, the mainline kernel devs have implemented some ideas that originated with BFS into CFS.

BFS= Brain **** Scheduler

BFS kernels tend to focus on whatever app is running in the foreground, think a 3d gaming here. So a BFS kernel may give you better Quadrant scores, which shouldn't be the end all for someone choosing a kernel. The BFS is a 3rd party scheduler that the dev's have to patch into a CFS kernel ( which in turn makes it into a BFS kernel ) . These kernels can tend to be laggy at times too.

Benchmarks and analysis updated. Net 4.3.4 HDMI is now the standard kernel for Sense (except for Stock Rooted/ Stock Kernel). The TW AOSP HDMI kernel is now the standard for CM7. Baseline data has been added as well as V-Sync OFF and 720P at the approval of both devs.

The fully updated chart represents @ 10hrs of benching and testing.
