G2 4.2 UI vs 4.4 UI question

i am about to buy the G2 and the only thing holding me back is the retarded 4.2 UI that i saw in its YouTube review

is the UI better in 4.4?

also..how long before the G2 gets L?

i got the phone a month ago and it already shipped with 4.4, i can even update it to 5.0.2 using LG PC suite
